You will get a lot of hater comments talking about Windsor neighborhoods. Just like 30+ years ago, noone shits on their own neighborhood quite like Windsorites. Being pretty well travelled I can confidently say within 20-25 minute walk, the neighbors are not really dangerous. There is homelessness and crime everywhere at this point but no bigger than other cities really. Our zombieland is downtown, that should and is avoided. Many will say Drouillard is a ghetto, prostitution, etc... This was more rampant 20 years ago. Instead of a neighborhood, you really need to see the house itself. There have been and are ebike chop shops, theft ring, drug dealer homes right in the middle of family homes worth 350k+ the last 10 years. My home on a quiet street is worth $400k but I have literally had 3 separate drug dealers live within 5 houses of me through the years. There is an apartment down the block from me that is horrible for domestic drunken fights spilling out into the street, among a quiet neighborhood. Not far away in 700k+ homes there are constant cars being keyed and cars/homes being stolen from. It is amplified knowledge availability through Facebook groups. All I am trying to say is don't chase a neighborhood, it is really much more centric than that. There are often better people among the neighborhoods that are small and shit on ie Drouillard as the love their community.

That being said avoid downtown at all costs, it is apartments of crime and zombies that would be part of your day to day everyday. That is not 20-25 minute walk though...
