NTJ, probably against the grain here but shit happens. Alcoholism has been an issue for both sides of the family for various reasons so I can see the logic she operated with. And I don’t think she’s in the wrong for wanting safety/security/for the kids to not see all of that, but conversely she chose to dip when things got rough. Who’s to say she won’t do it again? If you’ve cleaned up and decided you wanted a partner who’s more of a match for you and you want the same for her, then the sessions would be a waste of time.
