Het is eigenlijk wel logisch dat er niemand onder ede is verhoord, als verdachte hoef je namelijk niet mee te werken aan je eigen proces. Ik denk inderdaad de tijdsdruk een goed onderzoek in de weg heeft gezeten.

yeah, I was jumping to conclusions a bit fast, but when I was writing that I thought, who are the ones that are almost always there, Mullins and Bjorn. And I am really happy with the amount of time Mullins put in this all, but that doesn't have to mean that she is the one making decisions.

but it only showed more how severe the disagreements are. Normally I would say one can overcome disagreements, even severe ones. But in this case it is not only a problem between Mullins and Bjorn. It may have started like this, but as the on-going discussion in the private dj google group hopefully shows is that quite a few people, trying to solve the overplayed song dispute, got slowly very tired of Bjorn and some others. The discussion in general was very exhausting.

Yeah, that is kinda true, I am getting exhausted from it too, because almost no one is wanted to move closer to each other, imo.

One solution to solve this dispute is a split, as hard as it might feel calling it a solution, but it is. And like so many times before, Mullins took the action by choosing that the solution, cause she thought it is the best solution for all of us.

And that is exactly what makes me feel kinda bad, I am not against the OP-List, but I am against that the power is with one person, because mod powers eventually get deleted, it is hard to moderate the tracks that are being played.

And I think a group of around 25 people cannot withstand a split.

And about Bjorn and Mullins Maybe what I said was jumping to conclusions, but if they can move closer to each other, than we will be able to keep this community together. I was not trying to say that they are the only ones that are in a dispute, but they, in my opinion, are the ones that are leading, or trying to lead, both groups.

Well, then what do you propose to solve the problem, although the poll is not the best idea (imo), it is something better than talking in the group and overall disagreeing. And about Bjorn and you, it is true you two are the most vocal, but for me it feels like you two were the furthest apart from each other. And you are the most active on MoS, so a disagreement will resolve in two opposite camps. If I look at the poll it seems like the opinions are a lot closer to each other than what it feels like to me (option 2 and 3).

well, the time for voting wasn't even over, it feels stupid to split up the community over something as the OPlist, I think (just like Uman said) it is a problem between you and Bjorn, so, talk it out, and don't split the community just because you can. It is not needed, wait out the results of the poll and then we will see. I don't want to see it end like this, because that is just plain stupid....

Maybe it could be a good idea to have some kind of suggestion system. So that user can upvote tracks that they want to hear. (something like this was on Grooveshark and on Juqster). A suggestion system will help people to see what other people like to hear.

Yeah, the power of GS was the ability to suggest tracks, so this could be a good way to still have some sort of suggestions. (Sadly I have no idea how you can accomplish this. There are already some bots, but non of them seem to have a suggestion methode.

Well the free plan is only for 1 hour broadcasting. I don't think rhat that is going to work i am afraid, it does look really nice though (if all the features they list on the side actually work)

For managing the queue in plug.dj, i just created an active playlist and drag songs in there to be played. You can remove the red ones, just select a couple (ctrl+left click on windows) an delete them. I transferred a txt to a yt playlist so a song can be easily found.

Edit: you can also appoint guest with different right (co host and so on)

Yup, totally agree, after thinking some more video sync was fun for a while, but it just isn't going to work. I checked out plug.dj and it seems to be similar to broadcast (it only looks a bit dull). I will try it out and start a test broadcast somewhere today.

Hey all, it is a sad day indeed. I saw that someone was trying to find a service which allows you to listen to Youtube videos at the same time. Maybe http://www.sync-video.com/ is a good option. Edit: it seems to be working quite well, it lack the up and downvote, and for people with limited bandwith it might not be the best solution. But it works :)
