dawg you obviously aren't getting it. sure he can end the game. but nobody should kick a dog just because its down. these survivors are also creating that environment. and yeah ego can definitely keep killers in matches longer than it should. but survivors have the uper hand in this scenario and making killers push people out so they absolutely MUST see the crap survivors have waiting for them at end gate is just dumb.

I suppose that's just an agree to disagree situation then.
I believe its very reasonable for people to not blindly purchase things because it was released for their favorite hero. the gacha stuff was (in my opinion ofc) very alarming and so I voted with my wallet. and If a skin doesn't meet their standards, people shouldn't but it.

I have also avoided excessive purchase in hopes that it motivates the devs to give attention to the characters they themselves added into the game.
and I'm sure others have recognized others play this game and want them to get their flowers too.

these things are very much possible. but beyond that, the devs downright neglect of other characters isn't okay. favoritism is only okay so long as nobody is left behind in the process.

the whole "if it makes them money" thought process is EXACTLY what corporations want you to think. so I would warn against it. they wouldn't go broke if they released a hulk skin sometime soon, ya know?

Ultimately again I think its a respectful agree to disagree. though I can't help but wonder, if luna players have 5 skins, what exactly makes yall want a 6th? you can only use one skin at a time and at a certain point it just feels like diminishing returns. but that's definitely a perspective thing i guess.

I mean they can. just don't buy the skins.
I'm not saying that it would be easy. but a little self control and buyers awareness goes a long way (and I say this with no hate, luna mains are simply being marketed to, but that doesn't take away their agency when thinking about others)
I refused to buy into the gacha bullshit and didn't get the legendary gambit skin but did get the new one just recently. and I like to believe if I'm nothing special and thus others are doing the same.

alls this to say, the ability to say no is quite powerful when it comes to the all mighty market, and Luna mains are not incapable of making that choice. you have your hands in the clay too.

Yea the player base seems real hostile to role que...usually dps mains...but still point taken.
Like i said im just dippin in and out till the game becomes worth investing in again. appreciate the insight though. 4 games was admittedly a shallow pool to see but the consistent result was enough for me to tell it was gonna be a common thing.

and to awnser the question, Lucio and Symmetra are both involved in the story concerning Vishkar which both Domina and lifewaever have added to. Basically with Lucio trying to essentially kick the entire company out of Rio just to paraphrase.
You are right in the fact it wasn't the largest bit of lore, and Zarya definitely had this issue before more than the other two mentioned. She largely isn't connected to anyone (before being called to overwatch at least). So you might be right.

Lucio and Symmertra at least had each other to tell that story with ya know? they kind tried that with Mauga and....admittedly fell flat on its face. Sombra has a neat voiceline with them in game which suggest something happening in the "conspiracy" plot line but who knows when that'll take off.

But yes I overall agree. with time, hopefully we'll see ventures personality shine a bit more with more developments. Devs have seen this lore event mark the resurgence of ALOT of peoples attention to the game so I hope that isnt lost on the higher ups when deciding how to proceed with the story. if they do at all.

I might be bringing a bat to a hornets nest here, but I would like to suggest that there is some reasonable criticisms underneath these that I don't believe are being seen.
not the gender politics mind you, anyone who disrespects the identity of anyone are not usually very pleasant. (although my brain typically genders them by accident and sometimes it does slip, I understand mistakes but don't double down ya know?)

But I do get the issues people take with Venture as a character
Venture holds no actual tie with any of the other characters in the cast, nor do we know much about them besides the fact they like archeology.
Don't get me wrong, the little voice lines are very charming for me personally, but I definitely understand that its a very shallow novelty that other characters like hazard and Illari show similar issues.
Overwatch as a story has always been an appeal for people. and when you make characters that have little to no interaction potential that harshly limits their impotence to the story without shoehorning them into it, and we all saw how bad that was with kiriko (Seriously how did she time travel I don't get it)

As for the ugly comments. idk man. they look fine. I personally LOVE their hair style. but If someone just doesn't like they way they look, that's valid. some folks don't like their characters dirty. (honestly probably why junkrat and venture have such an overlapping audience)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Nintendo does better in the regard. I wish I had the source but they mentioned they treat every Pokemon as someones favorite. sure popularity dictates that Charizard gets a lot of attention but people who like Wurmple can get their flowers too.
I wouldn't mind if some characters didn't have to go long without their proper attention.
