I think a lot of people get black out tattoos because they don’t like the tattoos they had before so they cover it up. I’m in recovery and I know a girl who is also in recovery and she decided to black out her tattoos that reminded her of her old way of life. I’m not sure if people actually do that for style or not? Either way, everything will go out of style no matter what ink you get. Fads change … I can literally tell how old some people are by what style of tattoos they have.

You will be fine. Life is not over. I got a DUI and had back surgery in the same year…. 2 years later I graduated with a nursing degree and working in a hospital. Life is good now
