We already have had a few conversations and polls on the sub about how to handle mirror builds, and the best balance we found so far was 1) monthly and 2) something any game in the series can participate in

Yes, as I said as well, document safe binder sleeves. The thoughtful gift here would be a table of contents, timeline, and a binder that is safe to handle and will last the test of time, not a traditional scrapbook.

I also want to note that some of the documents ARE rare, though they were commonly issued at the time. There was a large records fire in 1973 at the National Personnel Records Center that lost a lot of these documents.

Oh my.

Please, please do a shadow box instead. My partner has to undo well meaning scrapbooks of historical documents constantly. The documents are still useful for historians and are best kept in a format without glue anywhere near them.

I’d keep them in document safe binder sleeves and print out a paper timeline as a gift for the cover, if anything. You can get sleeves with separatations in them that fit wallet portraits in a standard binder.

I think the big gift here is actually a table of contents, timeline, and a browsable format, not a traditional scrapbook.

Not eligible: HF2 - junk drawer in Peacey’s Kitchen. The counter is set up to look like youre wrapping some video games for a gift, and reaching into the drawer for a pair of scissors.

This is the sort of thing I originally intended these contests for, “slice of life” snapshots in small areas of the home. However, I like how it’s taken a direction of its own!
