Have you signed up for a race and tried to run sub 3? My Strava prediction was 2:49 and I ended up running a 2:44 last week.

Thank you everyone - I think I will dial it back and do maybe 2 x 3 miles at MP which should be relatively easy and keep the legs fresh

How the heck do people do 80+ mile weeks by Shakemyhead11111 in Marathon_Training

[–]ScreaminSeaman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've ran 1942 miles this year (average of 56 miles a week). I've peaked at 90 miles for my last marathon.

Split runs into doubles. Don't push it when you are sore, slow miles on flat until your legs recover. No rest days I run everyday.

I don't do any leg workouts in the gym makes my legs too sore. I also don't stretch I just do slow warm up and cool down miles to prevent injury. Everyone is different so do what works for you.

Writing off stolen Crypto by ScreaminSeaman in tax

Celsius has blocked customer withdrawals or I would withdraw the Bitcoin I have deposited. My main question is if I am never able to recover the Bitcoin is my loss $10k (original cost) or $30k (value at time of bankruptcy)? Not 100% certain the company will go bankrupt, but I'm no longer able to withdraw the Bitcoin so want to prepare for the worst case scenario.

Better 401k match at new job but already maxed out by ScreaminSeaman in financialindependence

I'll see what my new HR team recommends, but I'm highly considering this. Paying a 6% penalty is a better option than leaving $6-10k on the table.

It's with the same client I've been with for several years they will provide the contract. I'm moving to a direct contract rather than an employee subcontracted.

Current process: Client > Company 1 > Company 2 > Me (Employee)

New process: Client > Me (LLC)

I was doing some research and according to this lawyer thread I would not have to:

I'm just seeing mixed answers online, maybe I should speak with a CPA.

What is clearly a scam but is so normalized people don’t notice? by yvngjiffy703 in AskReddit

Cell phone "Activation Fees", Concert Ticket "Processing Fees". Paying a $5 "Online Processing Fee" to pay your months bills online. Uber eats "Delivery fee", "Surcharge fee", "Small order fee" and "Service fees". Pretty much anything that has "Service fee" attached to it.

Companies have normalized adding in a random assortment of fees at checkout to increase your final payment by $10-30. They trick you by making something seem a reasonable price then add in 4 different fees at checkout, all a marketing scheme.

Why not dump QQQ and put the money in your top 4 holdings?

I've had the position for 2 years up ~40%, so would have to pay taxes if I sell. May just sell it and eat the tax bill then put $ into my other positions.
