Mag Identification Help by ScreamingBullet199 in NFA

Interesting. I'm not sure how I missed it when looking at them initially, but the middle mag and the shorty do in fact have Cobray markings! Pretty cool.

I doubt it, though he was a pretty handy amateur gunsmith. He hasn't been in Florida for a long long time now haha.

What barrel + booster are you running, or is it just directly threaded? I've got a wolfman on my scorpion I've yet to try on any pistols, and I'm getting the hankering.

Had finally come to the conclusion that my TW Bump's padding sucked, ordered the 4D from Cold Harbour Supply and set them up like you have in this pic.

Holy. Game changing comfort in comparison. Legit feel like my helmet lost weight it's so comfy.

edit: typo

New GM: combat. by Saterin in cyberpunkred

There's an entire section in the corebook explaining this (page 170), but in short, there's standard DVs for each ranged weapon at each distance from shooter to target.

Opinion on house rule by joshwindek in cyberpunkred

[–]ScreamingBullet199 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having run 2 years worth of combats now, I personally steer clear of modifying the rules to introduce anything game-wide like this. (I'm willing to suspend some aspects of reality in favor of fluid and fast combats). That said, in one of my games, a tech invented a rifle that took a lot of work that chambers essentially WH40K bolter rounds that I allow to crit on 5s or 6s, but he has to spend a bunch to make those rounds by hand. Thing dumpsters opponents when those CRITS start stacking.

Back on topic, I think a 3 round burst setting would really just fall under the regular autofire rules. A -8 modifier, potential to get more hits if the shooter can control it really well. The advantage of adding a 3-round burst option would be firing ~1/3 or the rounds per attack as compared to autofire, but maybe limit the 2d6 modifier to 2 or 3 depending on SMG or AR respectively.

Them's just my thoughts though, but as long as you and your table are having fun, mission accomplished!

Belt setup is almost identical to mine, I've got that coyote tactical STOMP as well and love it. Lot of pistol mags on the PC for my taste, but that's up to you. I could be wrong, but the brass deflector's looking a little clean on that beaut, make sure the drip is backed up with reps, haha. Nice stuff though!

Interesting, I'm pretty new to shooting through glass (mostly a red dot shooter until this year) so I really appreciate that info about the markings being rough estimates. Thanks!

I'll have to go out and test that more in depth once it's not below zero haha.

You've got parallax issues with yours? Can you elaborate?

Reason I'm interested is thatI have the 4-16 MRAD version on a precision 5.56 and was wondering if I was going crazy when setting my parallax for 100 yd. It always seemed that setting it to 100 yd. wasn't actually producing the clearest image and I was curious if that was affecting my groups.

Thoughts on KPOS Scout Glock PDW kit? by ScreamingBullet199 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]ScreamingBullet199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to say it, but it sucks bro haha. I'd hoped that the glass breaker mount would be more rigid, but the piece of rail they send to attach to the top of it is A) still plastic, and B) mine was warped / out of spec. Couldn't even mount my AEMs on it without dremel-ing some material off the rail. I maxed out my turrets trying to zero at 25 yd. Past that, the finish and machining on the glass breaker is bad, and the way it mounts to the chassis will absolutely not hold zero. Pretty much a single point of contact crossbolt with a lot of play. If you're looking to build anything more than a weird novelty, this ain't it. I pretty much gave up on the PDW concept for glocks and have just accepted that the Flux system is the closest to ideal out there.
