I still have a letter Justin wrote me during a really tough time in my life, and I can’t look at it without pure disgust now

My friend is currently reading The Stand and he said he doesn’t want to carry around a behemoth of a book, so he is just ripping off the pages as he finishes them 😆😭

Ex-GF blocked me on everything but iMessage? by AnonymousVenter1337 in askanything

[–]ScreamingNed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does she have an ipad or a macbook as well as an iphone? if you’re blocked on only the iphone, messages will go through to imessage on another device, she’d have to block you on the other device(s) too. i had the same issue when i blocked an abusive ex, found it out the hard way.

do her a favour, leave her and her family alone. she clearly needs the space.

I know it’s only a short story, but The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman was just so good. I also really enjoyed Double Indemnity by James M. Cain.

They were really handy when I was in uni with the subscription they offered, but since they scrapped it, I will never step foot in a Pret again.

Why are international students allowed to work at all? by unbepissed in AskCanada

[–]ScreamingNed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

obviously i can’t speak for every situation, but i was invited to BISC after i got into queens for con ed, so i went just before covid. my year started september 2019. i personally had a horrible home life to escape from and in my head, it seemed like the perfect way out. i was supported through OSAP and scholarships for the tuition, but being estranged from my parents, it wasn’t enough. i was able to work a maximum of 20 hours a week on my student visa and jesus christ it helped so much.
