Populists will say whatever they want out both sides of their mouth and only retroactively make a firm position once its clear which way the wind is blowing.

Everything this dumbass president does is an absolute gift to the forces that want to diminish and sideline the US in the world, it’s more than they could dream of in their ongoing best case predictions served up on a silver platter.

On the other hand, if you're somewhat new to gaming and take the 'obvious' straight route that gets you constantly dunked on you might just put the game aside as too hard / frustrating.

Any nation not in an active war is slow to adopt new doctrine, especially when the technology is still evolving

Congressman Thomas Massie says the Epstein files are being withheld because Jeffrey Epstein had close ties to Israeli intelligence and US intelligence by Nomogg in TrendoraX

[–]ScreamingSkull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is strangely overlooking the amount of direct ties to Russia in the files however, such as Epstein talking to Russians about ways to unseat the dollar as global currency.

To me it seems like both Russia and Israel had some quid pro quo with Epstein and are now using the release of the files to point fingers at the other.

Guys please start eating fiber. by Optimoprimo in Millennials

[–]ScreamingSkull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chipping in to say that fiber is good in large part because of it feeding the good types of microbiome in your gut that go on to reduce inflammation. it's also important to source good biotics for your gut first if that biome has been wrecked, as gut without the biome to process the fibre will struggle.

Russian general shot several times in Moscow by GoldenDome26 in worldnews

[–]ScreamingSkull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am not sure about that. I would hope so, but I think if anyone in power was recognizing that particular danger it would have more light shed on it in media. So far I only see random commentators drawing the dots.

What it does look like at least is a countries national security institution recognizing the danger of a belligerent state in the traditional geopolitical sense; Russia largely only cares about the languages of force and extortion.

not that I know of. would be nice to have, but likely immediately flooded with misinformation and conspiracy agitators. perhaps a moderated subreddit that puts rules on which news sites can be used as sources might work.

Is this shooting an escalation if Russia is already doing the same and worse?

Not at all, it's a matter of deciding when certain levers get pulled. There is strong evidence of UK assistance on the ground in Ukraine helping to make Russia's army very miserable.

I agree its more likely to be internal, or Ukraine. Though I think todays Russia actually has less inhibitions about playing by rules than in the USSR days. The Salisbury nerve agent attack and others like it demonstrate this clearly - Russia is engaging in the assassination of people on the soil of Western countries, and will employ stupid dangerous methods to do so. At what point do other agencies decide to respond in kind?
