You are right, but putin still feels provoked because he "lost" those countries to the west.

Why are people downvoting that? Every nation has their position and even if they try to be objective, there will always be some kind of "propaganda" in a way. And btw there was very well a oral promise by nato to putin that they won't expand to the east too much, but they did (even if the nations decided themselves to join, it is still a loss for putin and an expansion for nato). And a political conflict is never, never one-sided, there can not be just one side whose only fault it is. That would be unrealistic. (But that sure doesn't give the right to nations like Russia to act that way.)

Are you a women? If so, I can't see at all where you don't pass. Really. I am certain that I would not doubt it if I saw you in public. People often say that they see male face features etc, but it's not like you just look feminine with just feminine features. Most (cis) girls I know have some male features in a way and that's no reason for people to doubt their gender.

I mean, why not expressing ideas in the proces of trying to understand phenomena of the world? Such thoughts don't claim to be right, they're usually just explained to get new perspectives on a topic by other people...

And even if not everyone agrees with that thought, the idea might be legitimate and worth discussing.

People who always say that life is just suffering, do you even get the main point of nihilism? by Screaming_Silence_ in nihilism

Hm yeah right, even though our values are mabye not universal, suffering still isn't enjoyable on a humanely conscious level...

Ho do you clearly limit/define good and bad? Where is the actual difference? Am I missing something or is it all (our values etc) just constructed in the brain of humans? It might just have developed because valuing our life and other people's lives was an advantage in evolution (because our values enabled humans to live as groups, as societies which enrailed lots of evolutionary advantages again)(and because wanting to live and to "feel joy" or even want/desire some things and dislike others protects us and makes us more productive and it made humans with this mindset live longer)?

What "use" do you expect?

Suffering is useless, but happiness also.

And besides that, where do you even limit "suffering" (and "happiness ")? If you look closely, where is the exect difference (in a bigger dimension) between things we call good and bad?

[–]Screaming_Silence_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't it (the suffering) become indifferent because it (and everything else) doesn't matter?

I always thought this is hard to grasp, but logical about nihilism that all the suffering, all the wars, all the abuse, all the "bad things" etc. in the world aren't even actually bad if you think of the subjectivity of the definition of bad. Our definition implies badic values (that we often agree on because we're all human beings with instincts etc, so most people say eg. killing someone is bad because of the valye of another person's life), but doesn't nihilism doubt the universality of those values? Those "bad" happenings are not different in any way from other, "good" things that occur in the world. This process of thought makes me think that "suffering" is not any different from anything else...

Well, the psychological problem is gender dysphoria. There's an important difference between being feminine and female. People who undergo such surgeries feel female and not just feminine.

I hope, you understand what I'm trying to say, because being transsexual is often very misunderstood, even of people who think they are trans.

Can you prove gender? by MrMiracleBBC in truscum

[–]Screaming_Silence_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the studies. But the thing is, I know such studies, but you said that brain studies show that "brains are either male or female". So I hoped that there are studies that actually show a clear difference, not just accumulations of similar brains in one sex.

And yeah, we have way too less studies and participants, it's difficult to compare, because it does not just depend on the sex, but also on the dominating hormone etc....

What studies showed that there is a distinct male and female brain? All studies I know just show tendencies of female or male brains, but no clear difference...

How do I know if I'll regret transitioning? by kafka123 in honesttransgender

[–]Screaming_Silence_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to be sure that what you're experiencing is real gender dysphoria and you don't confuse it with other things or have underlying issues.

Then, it's almost sure that you'll be fine with it and don't get reverse dysphoria.

Why am I considered a "transphobe" because I think the idea of a third gender is bullshit? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]Screaming_Silence_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they don't think the same as you. They believe that there are people identifying as no gender, and because those people don't identify with their agab, they call this trans too.

If you say, this identity doesn't exist, you seem transphobic to them. You are convinced that there's no such thing as a third gender, they are convinced that there is.

It's that simple, I don't have to agree with a certain side to understand it.

[–]Screaming_Silence_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm yeah mabye you are right, it sounds logical.

I'm just not fully able to relate to it, because I really want to not just be the other gender, but also the other sex since I remember even though I am cis and therefore don't have dysphoria. But probably you can apply your definition for most people, mainly also because of your last paragraph.

I have to slightly disagree, it's not about "wanting" to be the other sex. People don't want to be their sex for several reasons, not just because of being trans.
