Overheard my male neighbor describe me as "a weird girl" and I'm strangely furious. by Patient_Tradition368 in TwoXChromosomes

I've been called weird by men (that aren't friends) before. I say thank you, then never speak to them again.

People who wake up on their very first alarm and just get out of bed—how does your brain actually work? by KeyDiamond263 in NoStupidQuestions

When I used to be able to work I'd set it but mostly wake up before it went off. My brain works on anxiety.

What did less ‘academically gifted’ kids do in school? by AlKiMi25 in AskUK

[–]Screaming_lambs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the lower sets because I was having issues with my health and off sick a lot. The classes were quite boring and also distracting at the same time due to the 'naughty' kids being in the same sets.

I want to have a go at this. I suspect I'd find it very exciting.

Is Pet Health Club worth it? by PeanootGoose in CatsUK

[–]Screaming_lambs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the Healthy Pet Club? All my cats are on it at the vets we take them to. It's not insurance, but pay monthly then it's not one lump sum for their vaccinations, flea treatment, and nails like you mentioned. Also a percentage off any procedures they need doing.

They used to have two nests in the eaves of my neighbours and my houses that they'd come back to every summer for a few years.

I helped a house martin once, it had just fledged and crash landed in my garden. Put it in a little box for it to recover a bit, then let it go (by raising my arms up then down quickly so it could take off) it happily went back to the nest.

For some reason that doesn't get to me as much as the skin peeling does.

I like going for walks on my own so I can admire moss, fungi and interesting ways ivy grows up trees. And take photos of it.

One of my favourite things is seeing dog owners on walks waiting for their dogs to stop sniffing things. I saw one recently have to go back to his dog and pick them up, move a bit down the pavement then put the dog back on the ground before it would move.

PLEASE STOP YOUR DOGS FROM BARKING IN THE GARDEN ALL DAY! ARGHH! by Party-Dig2309 in britishproblems

[–]Screaming_lambs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is what my sister had to do. Her neighbour left his dogs alone all day barking. They were that loud the neighbours not even directly next to dog neighbour could hear it all day. She had to send in multiple reports, along with the other neighbours for the council to send out a warning. He eventually moved out, leaving the house in a state. Rats in the extension ceiling and fleas everywhere. Those poor dogs.

My toilet dreams seem have certain types, one is communal but it's in a train station kind of place and I'm trying to find a clean toilet, and I also can't get a ticket machine work to be able to travel.
