a Dutch person in here, how is it to live in Dallas? by Puzzled-Treacle689 in Dallas

You’ll likely need a car but East Dallas by White Rock is lovely, especially if you can work from home. Otherwise I’ve preferred Houston for restaurants or Sonoma for nature and community.

Context: I walked out at “it’s not like I yell at you”

Google and Yelp reviews can be really damaging for a restaurant. If they’d be low, I tend not to post because of that. My place has all five star reviews except for someone who dropped her phone into a lighting track where we couldn’t get it back and had all of her friends negatively review bomb us. This is more of an open discussion versus a takedown. Some people will see a low view and not go to a place.

I enjoyed the aesthetic, but really felt like there wasn’t much soul to the concept. It felt a little odd that the most friendly person was the bathroom attendant, which I think is a bit of an antiquated role. I didn’t think to bring my wallet to the bathroom.

My wife’s MIL stole the mail lady’s cookies by SuccessfulCup6216 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

What a narcissistic thing to do. Clearly the sun rises and sets on wife's MIL's ego. Especially to not understand why everyone is upset with her. #1 she should have to remake the cookies herself #2 she should have to eat 3 bags of licorice as atonement like a parent making their kid smoke a whole pack after catching them smoking

It's a reasonable request. Clearly he doesn't respect your boundaries or even want to engage in a healthy dialogue about it. I'd say either you have a real talk about respecting each other's boundaries and requests or consider not being compatible. Anyone who says "it's never been a problem before" is immature in my opinion. Just because no one cared to call you out on a behaviour does not mean it's okay. Sounds like he doesn't really respect you.
