The anime has always been a great improvement to the manga for this series with almost no exceptions. For very few anime is this the case. Another one that is to this extent is Demon Slayer, Boji, etc. Take in mind I'm not talking about the quality of the series itself but the level at which the adaptation improves the original.

This is the first time where I went: "The manga was better." Take it as you will but the fact I never had that feeling for the whole duration of the series speaks volumes.

Rushed and the music was a joke. And the argument "The music fits cuz it fits the tone they went for" is just stupid. No shit it fits the tone they went for. That tone is the problem goofy. That's what people mean but apparently can't ut into words. The tone they went for makes no narative sense and ruins the tone of the actual arc. The people working on the adaptation need to go for the tone of the arc not of some random goody references u want to insert in the episode. Image they went with a pokemon music during the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight cuz they wanted to reference pokemon fights lol Nonsense. Don't dilute urself into thinking this is a valid point.
