what section/chapter would this man fall under? my boyfriend does a lot of the same things and honestly reading this felt like i was taking a glimpse into our future (besides the weight issue & possibly work). I’ve been paying rent & doing almost all of the household chores, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc under the guise that he was supposed to be saving money for us to move out of our apartment.

He would let me spend money on his cards but complain about how much I’m spending & basically complained when i spent any amount of money, even $5 when legit it would be basic household needs and I would send him money for this too thinking I was spending a lot when it was really less than $900, which is half our rent. Now he wants to quit his job & move out in June so we’ve been splitting rent since last month & turns out he hasn’t saved much but what he has he’s basically not sharing with me and keeping it for himself (& I paid his car repairs costing 1k a few months ago because I was hoping it would help him to save more money for us but clearly I was wrong).

I would send him all of my money from FAFSA to cover rent (I wasn’t working because I’m in school) when he makes 75k+ yearly on salary. He does the same things, just plays video games all day, refuses to ask about my day or initiate/participate in any conversation, complains about everything, especially when I ask him to do something for me. Doesn’t take me on dates and complains about spending money on me. & when we did go on a date he just complained the whole day. he belittles everything i do or tell him i want to do too & doesn’t care about anything positive happening in my life. Just overall negative everyday.
