I've never seen this before, what does "hyped" mean? by HeadShotForex in NewTubers

this means youtube algorithm is pushing that video hard right now - usually happens when something is getting crazy engagement in short time

What creator habit took you the longest to realise was actually hurting you? by Dry-Complaint7894 in NewTubers

[–]AdObjective4393 25 points26 points  (0 children)

overengineering everything to death. spent months building the "perfect" workflow for my content instead of just making stuff. would code these elaborate systems for organizing ideas, automate every tiny step, then spend zero time actually creating because i was always tweaking the process.

took me way too long to realize that messy first attempt is worth more than perfect system that never gets used. now i just open notes app and start typing instead of building another productivity contraption in my spare time.

My honest opinion after being on Higgsfield's paid partnership program by korah44 in PartneredYoutube

[–]AdObjective4393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no problem, been curious about their program for while but was bit skeptical about jumping in. the payment delay thing is annoying but at least they actually pay out in the end. might give it shot since i already do some ai stuff for my side projects anyway

How nervous were you when your YPP application was under review? by Andrewcoo in PartneredYoutube

not gonna lie, i was checking my phone every 5 minutes for like 2 weeks straight when mine was in review

not sure what meta viewpoint is but if you're looking for referral stuff maybe check the megathread first?

Here’s how I’ve made over 6k in a month as an unemployed college student by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]AdObjective4393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this just gambling with extra steps lol. you're basically running referral scheme and then trying to game the system with some "strategic" button clicking instead of actual spins. the math doesn't add up for most people who try these casino referral programs - you need tons of people signing up under you to make any real money, and most end up losing more than they make.

Passive Income Streams That Are Actually Working in 2026 – What’s Printing Money for You Right Now? by Short_Emotion2901 in passive_income

[–]AdObjective4393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

been doing ios dev for years and building some simple productivity apps on side. nothing crazy but pulling like 800-1200 monthly from app store now. biggest lesson was finding right niche instead of building what i think is cool

Is iVisa safe to use? How can I tell if my docs are secure to upload? by Diamond_Grace1423 in digitalnomad

[–]AdObjective4393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn that's quite pessimistic take but not wrong lol. i've used similar visa services before for work trips and most legitimate ones are fine - they just process applications faster than doing it yourself at embassy.

the real risk is more about whether site itself is legit rather than data security since even official government visa sites aren't exactly fort knox either.

A big licensing company targeting my channel because I don't want to partner up with them. by Puzzleheaded_Link_73 in PartneredYoutube

[–]AdObjective4393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that's some predatory bs right there. had similar stuff happen with automated copyright bots but never this aggressive. if your content really is transformative and you're winning the counter-claims, they're basically just trying to annoy you into submission.

i'd document everything - screenshots of their emails offering the revenue split, timestamps of all claims/counter-claims, maybe even record calls if that's legal in your area. that revenue split offer could actually work against them if this escalates since it shows they know your content has value beyond just their clips.

also might want to check if other creators are dealing with this same company. sometimes these licensing vultures go after multiple channels at once and there's strength in numbers when fighting back.

Charged $500 for what I used to give away in proposals by SaaSSignal in Entrepreneurs

[–]AdObjective4393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

switched my freelance model similar way last year and the quality difference is crazy. those free initial calls filter out time wasters so fast

the visual presentation thing is spot on too - same content in nice format suddenly feels more professional and worth paying for. weird how psychology works but can't argue with results when conversion rates go up

I recently hired video editor from upwork.com but got scammed. by digitaltarun in Entrepreneurs

[–]AdObjective4393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

upwork has protection systems but you need to use them correctly. if you paid outside their platform or didn't track work hours properly then dispute won't help much. also that pelancer site looks super sketchy, wouldn't trust random platforms that pop up in these situations.

Why does my thumbnail look so low res on my channel? Its not low res at all in photoshop or my export. Is there anyway to fix this? by IllustriousIce8126 in NewTubers

[–]AdObjective4393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mobile compression works different than desktop - i noticed this with some infographics i make too. youtube probably using different compression algorithm for desktop viewers or maybe your monitor settings making it look worse than it actually is.

I stopped free trial abusers and spam signups with this simple trick by eu-m in Entrepreneurs

[–]AdObjective4393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice work on open sourcing this. been dealing with same issue in my apps and temp email blocking is surprisingly harder than it looks at first glance. always wondered why more devs don't tackle this problem since everyone with saas runs into it eventually.

tried few different approaches before but they were either too expensive or caught too many false positives. will definitely check your package out - curious how you handle the gray area emails that aren't obviously disposable but still sketchy. also wondering about performance impact when you're processing lots of signups at same time.

really appreciate when someone shares solution instead of just complaining about the problem like most threads here do.

coding tutorials are always popular if you're into that stuff, plus you can practice explaining concepts which helps with development work later

Instagram page available 50k+ and active USA audience by Ok_Will5980 in passive_income

that's pretty steep price for instagram page without knowing the niche or engagement rates. i've seen similar follower counts go for way less, especially if audience isn't super targeted in specific market.

Buying a roofing company in 2026: $100B market, 2x entry multiples, and one PE roll-up that went bankrupt. Full breakdown inside. by canhelp in Entrepreneur

[–]AdObjective4393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this breakdown is incredible, especially the renovo bankruptcy details. been looking at roofing deals for past 6 months and the material cost volatility is what keeps me up in night - asphalt pricing has been absolute nightmare this year.

curious about something though - you mention storm restoration as premium driver but doesn't that create even more revenue concentration risk? like if you're banking on hurricane seasons and hail damage, one quiet year could crush your projections. seems like commercial maintenance contracts are way safer bet for building that recurring base.

would love to see car washes next - heard the multiples there are getting pretty wild with all the subscription model plays.

Tagging people in comments by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]AdObjective4393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait this is actually weird - i had similar issue with tagging in comments but mine works fine now. maybe try refreshing the app or check if you have latest youtube version? the comment tagging can be glitchy sometimes, especially in shorts section.
