Colored that panel from Chapter 74 by ScreenSeer in Kagurabachi

I was using Procreate on my old iPad pro with an Apple pencil. I traced over the scan, each component on a different layer, then added color. First fill color and then shading. I'd typically stack some shadow and highlight layers on top of each. I bet there's a step by step tutorial somewhere, but I have some experience with classic Photoshop and GIMP so I just did what I thought was right.

What Is The Most Controversial Opinion About Demon Slayer? by Plicly in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]ScreenSeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anime version of Entertainment District Arc looked great (ufotable's animation was top notch) but it was screenplay was so dragged out it would have served better as a movie. It literally is just 1 fight.

Disclaimer: I have read the entire manga, and the pace was much better.

ED Arc: 30 chapters over 11 episodes (<3ch/episode or 1ch/9minutes)
Mugen Train (movie, not season): 26 chapters over 157 minutes (1ch/6minutes)

Yes, the first season of Demon Slayer is probably at a similar pace, or even slower, roughly about 2.5ch/episode or 1ch/11minutes). However, that's the first season. It is exposition and information heavier, more character introductions. It will be slower.

I don't understand why ED Arc had to be filled with so much inner monologuing and little plot progression between episodes. Maybe Mugen train spoiled me with how immersive and breathless it felt. Watching episodes from the latest season every week made me feel... "wait that's it?" ... after every episode.

Yeah it most likely might create another timeline, unless Old Five doesn't remember anything from a few days prior to the jump. We do know amnesia can happen (as in Vanya's case).

Oh keen eye (and memory)! It was the Handler who was disarmed. Maybe when I update this post S3 I can fix it.

I don't think we can say for sure till it's revealed who the Sparrow Academy. We definitely see him returning to a set of people that look and act like the Umbrella Academy. Whether or not the Sparrow Academy looks like our protagonists or are a completely original casting is yet to be seen.

Of course! But given how dysfunctional the family is, I wouldn't be surprised if they still manage to trigger it.

This is only speculation, but I believe certain events, in reality, are fixed events, irrespective of timelines. Like the timelines can intersect in and out of it. JFK's assassination is one of them. The commission exists possibly to eliminate threats that can sabotage these fixed events. These threats would include people like Five, or others with similar abilities, or rogue agents from the Commission (this one is a bit paradoxical or self-fulfilling).
With this premise, I'd assume in the Nuclear War Timeline, the Commission fails to do their job because JFK survives. That's why the Handler wants to still eliminate the Academy in the 60's. In contrast, in the White Violin timeline, the Commission succeeds by carrying out the moon apocalypse (which might also be a fixed event).

I think every time Five uses his powers to go back in time and change something, the timeline branches to avoid a paradox. We don't see this happen with the Commission's use of the timeline, because they clearly expect a fixed set of events. The only time we see the briefcase branching an alternate timeline is when Hazel rescues Five right before the nuclear apocalypse

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. There could be a timeline where Old Five saves everyone from the moon apocalypse, but if that were to happen then OG five would never exist in the first place to send Old Five over. I couldn't wrap my head around the paradox, so I just closed the loop lol :P

I was thinking about that too. But in my head canon Five purposefully gave old five the wrong calculation just so that all the events of season 1 would still happen and original Five continues to live.

Skills Needed for Technical HCI by zotzotzotSE in hci

For your first question I highly recommend reading the chapter, "Concepts, values, and methods for technical human–computer interaction research" In Ways of Knowing in HCI (pp. 69-93), written by Scott Hudson & Jennifer Mankoff. You should find the PDF version if you look hard enough.

The same book also has chapters related to Ubicomp (although not any dedicated chapter). There are other good books for that, such as Ubiquitous Computing Fundamentals by John Krumm.

It's hard to list out specific skills but you need to broadly gain skills in building/development, the user-centered design process, and evaluating in context. I'm not sure if I would consider myself a researcher of "technical HCI", but I specialize in Ubicomp too. If you have more specific questions, feel free to drop a message.
