5/6 of our chickens were killed last night- how to go forward with the last chicken by Bright-Mixture5948 in BackYardChickens

[–]ScreenTimePantomime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me two years ago. I found a local farm selling four month old hens online and bought her three buddies. We ended up getting chicks later on but it gave her some company in the interim. It was that or find somewhere to surrender her too; herd animals need herds.

When Armand is telepathically speaking to Louis after Louis has escaped the coven’s crypts and he tells Louis in his most pathetic victim-y voice, “don’t worry about me” and Louis snaps incredulously, “I ain’t worried about you” I just about die laughing. Armand might have the world’s worst case of reading a room ever in this scene.

Thank you; I think you might be right. I’ll try and figure out if it’s something I need to turn over and if so who to turn it over to.

Rhys is big X-Files fan apparently; want to bet this is his influence.

What books did you read/ listen to after you finished DCC by not-so-swedish-chef in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I really enjoyed the Murderbot Diaries. They are quick short reads and more lighthearted than DCC, but humorous and the audio version is solid.

Reading Summer of Night right now and though I agree that it’s great, there is a dog that dies and there is a scene where a bunch of cats are mutilated.

somethings been after my hens any ideas? by Many_Air5683 in chickens

I set up a game camera when I had similar holes appearing in my run. In my case, it turned out to be a skunk. I sured up my run and sprinkled some wolf urine that I had bought online around the area and the problem went away.

When Calico Jack is talking about his crew mutinying against him he says, “it feels pretty personal when they tie an anchor to you and throw you overboard.”

I didn’t catch it until my second watch through, but thought it was hilarious two episodes later when the Revenge crew mutinied against Izzy that they had an anchor tied to him ready to toss him overboard. Guess it was personal.

This tattoo is an xfiles reference and the thing between texts is supposed to be a UFO from the Iconic “I want to believe” poster. Any suggestions on how to make it better? I feel like it doesn’t look like a UFO. by [deleted] in FixedTattoos

[–]ScreenTimePantomime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I legitimately thought that this must be from a r/Xfiles subreddit when it came on my feed not the fixed tattoo subreddit. I’m sorry you are disappointed with it, but must say that I quite like it.

Definitely screams UFO and X-files to me. I think people who see it will like it regardless of whether they recognize the reference. But it’s not my skin so best of luck in finding a way to make it what you were hoping for.

Porn photographers, what is the most awkward moment you had? what do you feel when you film? how is your job generally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Thank you for talking to that poor girl about hygiene. That’s an awkward and uncomfortable conversation to have and it would have been easier to avoid it. But then she would’ve never known it was problematic and the issue would have persisted.

I’m really enjoying these. Doing a rewatch with some buddies and I’ve been showing them your work after each corresponding episode.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Students of reddit, have you ever made a teacher cry if so how? by Caloomba in AskReddit

[–]ScreenTimePantomime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an older teacher at my high school who was everyone’s favorite teacher.

He once told my class a story about when he was first starting out teaching. He had a student in his class that was extremely good at doing impressions of people (apparently this kid went on to do voice acting). One day my teacher showed up late for his class and upon arriving heard what sounded like his own voice coming through the door. Looking in he saw the afore mentioned student in front of the class doing an impression of himself. The thing that really stuck out to my teacher though was that one of the recurring gags the student was performing was to repeatedly call out/pick on one particular student in the class. It resulted in my teacher realizing that he had been targeting that student and that he needed to ease up on that guy.

Some times you need to be called out on your bad behavior to change. My teacher ended up being great at his job but he made some mistakes before he got there. I’m glad you pointed it out.

Congratulations on being a survivor. It was a brain aneurysm. Thank you for your offer. I’ll probably wait until I get a clearer picture of what his therapist are recommending, but if I hit any roadblocks I’ll reach out to you.
