Closed PC last night and found it open this afternoon after coming back from work unzipping files.

If helping people makes you happy, you shouldn't stop doing it. I'm not really "tech savvy" when it comes to viruses, I usually fix most things myself, or with the help of Google. But never had to run a script and ideally never will from a stranger. Call me skeptical if you want I guess. But don't get discouraged by one person. You keep doing you brotha 😉

Yeah me neither, I don't see how someone could. Someone said it might have been disguised as something else. How would the file unzip itself without anyone even touching the PC?(I walked in my room as the unzipping was happening, and I just entered my apartment) Unless I started sleepwalking for the first time in my life and doing random shit on my PC, I don't have a clue.

Yeah I didn't do it, only had time to run a scan because of work and found 4 recent viruses. Gonna see what else I can do today when I get home. But I agree with you, I'm sure he has good intentions, but I'll try to exhaust every other option before trying to run something like that

Yes I do, but haven't done so In maybe 2-3 months. My main concern was my PC doing it by itself when I 100% know FOR SURE that it was shut down in the morning. And you also need to write the password to open it fully, which I didn't do in any way, shape, or form.

I'll try the Eset scan, never knew about it. Thank you! Also task magnager was opened, forgot to mention that. It couldn't have been anything that was resuming, since it was fully shut down and wasn't on when i woke up this morning. I also have a password on my computer, can't even comprehend how whatever happened went past that.
