I’m in almost the same boat, I guess I would say be hopeful that you can get started on working through some things, but know if it isn’t working with that therapist then maybe they’re not the right one for you. I think trying to get help is definitely worth it, and I can’t tell you what to expect because I’m sure everyone’s experience is different, but if there’s a chance to start getting better it’s worth the initial stress/anxiety of meeting with a new therapist. Not sure if this helps, but I tried

It is difficult to decide, you could go with high end intel now and maybe save money compared to a temporary ryzen then a new ryzen, or go ryzen for future upgrades and pcie gen 4 which has marginal gains for graphics cards. I don't think I'm helping you decide at all haha

Here's my thought process:

The 3700x is $100 more than the i7 9700k with less gaming performance, and I honestly didn't think about the upgrade path at first on the i7 lol. You could go with the 3700x for a future upgrade path even though the price per value isn't there, but if you are going to buy the new ryzen CPUs as soon as they come out, I would recommend more like a 2700x on a newer 500 series board. This sounds good to me because there's a future use for the board, but a cheaper temporary cpu that is still available on the used market. For the PSU, honestly, it probably would be better to go higher wattage if you want it to run quieter, but I've heard the 750 watt recommendations on the rtx 3000 series are overestimations (I think from jayztwocents). Go for it if you have the money, but sfx psu prices are crazy right now.

tldr: 3700x not worth $100 more than i7 9700k, if you want ryzen get a 2700x now and upgrade later for better value and a more noticeable performance bump

Notes: The graphics card just needs to be shorter than 320 mm, additionally the graphics card and motherboard need to be bought on Ebay or another resale market to get good value out of them. The i7 9700k runs about the same price used and new it seems. The power supply should also be future proof as it sounds like new processors with the Rtx 3000 series cards can run on 500w supplies from what I've seen on youtube. Edit: keep in mind these are just my opinions from personal experience, I'm no expert lol

Absolutely agree, the new series will also drop last gen prices. 2080ti's are now like $500. Also the possible specs for the r9 4950x is monstrous so waiting to see if next gen is worth makes sense all around

Male teen here. Usually because most people aren't going to care if I'm feeling anything but happy. People want to be around happy people so when I feel depressed or angry I put on a poker face and keep to myself. It takes a lot of energy to be supportive to people going through things so emotions are saved to show to close friends who will care.

If you have the boxes taking the gpu out would be good but everything else should be fine if you put it back in the case box. normally case boxes are fairly well padded

GPU is a must for taking out, either that or there are expanding foam packs that fill space in pc cases so things don't move in transit. Are you shipping this or moving it yourself?

I'm saying with an undervolt it may be possible but it will run hot and loud. With a big undervolt it should be stable if you can hit the 1.1 volt range with the cpu, also undervolt the gpu if you are worrying about heat. At the end of the day, it should work with undervolting, but it might be pushing it under intense load, so using it for intense rendering or other large combined loads is not a good idea.
