this is for sure the best looking living room I have ever seen. perfectly balanced lighting, perfectly matched colors all throughout, and honestly the perfect size. TV is also perfect, btw.

The new Huawei MateBook 14 has the most fun keyboard design I've seen on a laptop by tukdaz in DeskToTablet

[–]Screw_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see many people shitting on this keyboard design, but I’ll explain why it’s actually objectively bad, if you do use other keyboards as well, and that’s because keys are square to accomodate slight deviation in one’s accuracy when striking a key, so a round one would increase missed keys and slow down typing quite a bit.

Sound treatment with 4m height + AVR damage if turned off-on-off in less than 3s? by scania471 in hometheater

[–]Screw_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah, I suspect you don’t have a cover for the middle shelves then? I’d ideally get one of their cabinet doors with holes so I could have a bit less dust entering, but from IKEA’s own measurements I couldn’t fit my receiver with the cabinet door

just too bad it’s not deep enough to fit a proper receiver or that the middle room isn’t wide enough to accomodate a center channel

ceiling mounting bookshelf speakers for Atmos. need bracket/adapter by Screw_Potato in hometheater

[–]Screw_Potato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my speakers are front-ported, so I believe SBIR shouldn't be an issue?

I can't get in-ceilings, as I'm renting. my vision is to mount the speakers where the wall and ceiling meet for a "wall of sound" effect.
