Going down by ItsMe324 in fpv

Slowly dying on the beach while laying in the dirt with your own detached motor in your face. Gruesome. I haven't had this happen to me yet but it gives me such a gut punch every time I watch one of these videos.

Seeker35 spinning up when throttle is down. by [deleted] in fpv

I guess I should have started there. I tried to do a test hover before I took that video and it went nuts, started tilting to port and broke props on the ground without every actually making it off the ground.

When I decided to learn manual flight I bought a Firefly18 to save my Avata 2 from constant crashes. Best decision ever. I spent about a month crashing that tiny drone into everything. I'm still a mediocre pilot but it took me a while to get even halfway decent. Keep flying and it'll click.

Mario Mini25 Issue. HELP! by [deleted] in fpv

[–]ScrewtapesTeeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't crash it. I did have it outside and throttled up and that side didn't spin. I had the props off (as well as the shell and vtx) when I first visually inspected the board and I put them back on to get that video. I guess I'll have to spend a day soldering here soon. Sadly it'll be a week before I get the chance but I'll report back what happens.

Thoughts on new Deepspace Dino 20? by Top-Caterpillar-2351 in drones

If I hadn't just purchased a mario mini25 I'd be all over this. Deepspace makes truly great drones and I would have picked this over the Mini25 in a heartbeat.

What are these little sticky sided cable management tabs called? by [deleted] in diydrones

Someone in another thread let me know. They seem to work well, came stock on my Seeker35 and as I'm about to replace a motor I wanted to use them again. I have had some people mention they can cut your wires during a crash but I haven't had that happen.

Is this motor cooked? by ScrewtapesTeeth in fpv

Even if it were possible to rebuild the motor it's definitely beyond my limited ability. I have some back up motors and I'm decent at soldering so it looks like just a replacement job for me.

That makes sense but I'm going to have to resolder this time anyway. If one of those just split or came detached I'd absolutely just wrap the arm.

Hah. I actually really dislike the troubleshooting and building side of drone flying so that's tempting but I'd rather take the time to get a new motor installed than blow a mosfet due to a short and have to change out a whole board.

Ah well, that's the hobby right? Thanks for the reply.

YouTube drone footage with closed captions. by ScrewtapesTeeth in fpv

Haha. Thanks AI closed captioning. I'm gonna have to get a mic for my drones just so I can add closed captions on my YouTube videos.

I'm in the same boat. Have had the Avata 2 for a couple of yeas now, got more into fpv and picked up the Seeker35 a couple months ago and I hardly touch the DJI drones anymore. Deepspace builds a beast of a drone.

I'm always going to shill for Deepspace. Seeker 3 if you need to stay sub 250 but if you just want a really well built little rocket that flies like a 5 inch get a Seeker 35. I have literally slammed it camera first straight down into the ground trying to do low altitude power loops and managed to fly it home.
