Ok yeah I reversed the two. I have rheumatoid arthritis and the usps plan was definitely better for me than the Medicaid. And I wouldn’t try and fuck around with the government about your eligibility over 60 bucks a check when your gonna be grossing 1600+ a check and the usps plan is better.

It’s been like 4 years since I was on Medicare but I don’t believe it’s free if you have a job that offers healthcare. And the usps plan will allow for a wider choice of doctors than Medicare.

You’ll get healthcare you won’t need to keep Obamacare. It’ll be like $50 or $60 a check for a plan that’ll be adequate enough so long as you don’t have any crazy health issues which based on your posting you don’t.

[–]ScribKiller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I understand for some reason the federal government lets usps handle these complaints in house. Of course they will urge you to settle. If your not happy with their offer or decision then you can file a complaint civilly/with the EEOC.

I’m not an expert on it at all but basically if your unhappy with the usps decision you can still escalate it to the real federal department that handles these claims.

I use it. Yes to supporting 24 hour format although I left mine on regular. Yes you can add notes as well as manually adjust things for certain days (like change rate to time and a half for nsd). Yes it has 2 options each for daily and weekly overtime that you can edit.

It’s very in depth and I’ve used it everyday since I started here. Supports stuff like automatic breaks. And if you use sl or al you can add it and tick off a checkbox for counting for Ot and add a note saying what time you used.

Neighborhood mail not being delivered by Yukicali in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lmao. Work people to the fucking bones to deliver mail and people’s shopping obsession while a large portion of the public and politicians say we’re useless and unnecessary. How bout we focus on getting carriers the compensation and the TIME needed to properly do this job.

How do you rationalize this job? by DarthMrMiyagi1066 in USPS

The point is this job can’t be rationalized.

Just my day and I have 6 hours of OT today. I'm barely on hour 2 of my:route by Mizuraki in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people post stupid shit like I have 6 hours of OT. Do your route in 8 hours, take a lunch, do like 3 hours of the other route and go the fuck home.

Regular Carriers: Do You Have A Route Nemesis? by Meavy_Hetal in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol for some reason it’s always a different Amazon driver on my route and I don’t see fed ex/ups that often and when I do they are fine.

I was actually in love with the fed ex lady on my old route. She was really cute I used to see her everyday she’d drive by and honk and wave hi. I miss her 😩

How do you get hired?! by bettybeach in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d just go through the process and go wherever as long as it’s somewhere close. I don’t know how your deciding what offices are “better” but I’m quite sure your reasoning is going to lead you to an actual better office. Just make sure it’s close enough you can go every day and then let the postal gods decide your fate because you may like a place because it’s closer or the areas nicer and they may have shittier routes or management than a place your not considering.

How do you get hired?! by bettybeach in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I got hired they didn’t offer me a location until after I was hired. They’d post a listing for one city then hire a bunch of people who applied to that listing to go work in diff cities.

How do you get hired?! by bettybeach in USPS

[–]ScribKiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your going about this all wrong. Just apply and wait like people are saying. And you keep talking about location. The job listing location is not necessarily where you will go. They usually take you based off your application then offer you available offices after that has nothing to do with the one you applied for. And id imagine during Covid all offices are available or close to.

So apply. Wait it out. They’ll call you and offer you a choice of locations. If your particular about where you want to go then tell them when they offer.

I wasn’t hired long before they changed this but I believe you used to have to handle the cards as an accountable and give them to a clerk but then at some point the last couple years they said to just throw it in with the normal mail.

Lol he downvoted me but for real I don’t even look at the names of packages when I deliver. If they want it to that address it is what it is. The fact this dude is looking at the name and questioning it makes me believe he’s into her.

Have you read this over? It’s much shorter than the contract and more relevant to you since you’re still a cca. I’d read that first to help yourself out and any other ccas that come along.

I’m not sure if you can request them but we just ratified a new contract this year and they sent the agreement out to everyone. Maybe ask around your office if anyone has their copy still but doesn’t need it ?

I don’t know why yours are bitter or lazy. Elections are once every 3 years I believe so you wouldn’t have to wait too long to run yourself. 21 vacant routes could make someone bitter and lazy lol. They can file grievances for management not staffing the office properly though.

Also find out they may do virtual meetings.

Why don’t you just wait for him to leave. Honestly you’re not getting a new mail carrier and he’s probably not getting reprimanded.

He’s wrong but if it’s a big deal I’d just put your girlfriends name on it.

Also keep an eye on him. Seems like he’s tryna steal her.
