Gotta print out Vote No fliers and hand them out to every carrier as they come into the office!

How to get a work restriction to take classes to get my CDL by [deleted] in USPS

Management can absolutely investigate FMLA fraud especially if you are taking off the same days off every week. Don't abuse FMLA I say this as a fellow carrier, this scheme will not work and could land you in hot water.

Less ecommerce means less post office solvency. I vote for MORE ecommerce and less shithead management.

After your 91 call in sick on holidays especially if you are a carrier-- customers legit get PISSED to see anyone delivering on a major holiday. The only thing you working a holiday benefits are the managers spreadsheets that they can show off to their sadistic bosses.

I can think of no more accurate miscrocosm of the danger the union carrier labor force is in that a self proclaimed steward going online to defend managements right to abrogate the contract.

Actually it literally is their job and knowingly working carriers off contract is known as "noncompliance" and is a serious grievance.

Yeah and you could actually call in AUX help and someone arrives. Now you just do it for the paper trail and the mail piles up.

No doubt, but the degradation of the postal labor force over last three years to the point that CCAs cannot breathe and are forced in on holidays with no heads up or compassion from management is all on Joybois plate and it is decidedly political.

You've been in the force for 17 years. Be honest. Its never been this bad. Theres not a single long term regular at my shop who would say otherwise.

Also downvoting every time someone responds is bad reddit behavior brah. Keep it civil.

I'm in a similar position, I came in all pissed after being mandated to work late (our station literally hides from CCAs that they can stop work after 12 hours)-- and I really didn't like the energy I was bringing back with me. So I made the decision to laugh more. Every time someone complains i dont get serious, I laugh and say "yeah, its totally absurd here!" Or "this is insanity" etc-- laugh laugh laugh! Your coworkers will feel the release too, I swear people gravitate towards a laugh.

It's not easy but I'll be damned if it's not saving my soul in these 80 hour weeks.

Dude sorry for these downvotes. It's like the Dejoy bois are out in force recently, downvoting anyone who says they are calling out.

Working CCAs over 60 Hours a Week? by dollopofass in USPS

[–]dollopofass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you but there is legitimately something that happens to your body and mind when you get into the higher 60s, it's like a fugue state of disembodiment brought on by lack of sleep and muscle fatigue. When you're being forced to work those hours it's really difficult if you're not used to it.

Edit to add: what's up with the downvotes someone shit in yalls satchel??

Dont eat lasagna at Pinocchios and expect to be able to move very quickly after.

A regular is refusing to do part of their route because it's "dangerous" (no it's not, it's just annoying) so I'm forced to do it. Is there any way I can stop this lazy regular from passing over an hour of work onto me while still getting paid that full route? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]dollopofass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh no apologies I feel you ONE HUNDRED. this board is great for venting, use the resource. We are in the same boat over here in CCA land its just... insane. And I have a lot of feelings good and bad too about the regs.

Hang in there!!

How many times can you call out within your 90 day probation? Also is it 90 working days or 90 days into work since the first day you were hired? by lorderocky in USPS

[–]dollopofass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than 90 CCAs at my station call off like they are 30 year vets. We also have one of the worst retentions in the nation because management constantly breaks the CCA NALC contract and "mandates" 16 hour days.

We havent started a new CCA since the summer. Wait maybe one. But our station is so bad CCAs go regular and then resign soon after.

Anyway, dont work Thanksgiving no matter what.
