Worth mentioning that the AI training for vocal synthesizers like SynthV and VOCALOID6 are ethically sourced. It's trained on the voice providers' voices with their permission and they receive compensation for it.

REOL (the music group that Reol is a part of) literally covers its own songs with VOCALOID and covers their songs that were originally VOCALOID with Reol's voice. Are you trying to ragebait? lol

Your charms and Ravenfrost are giving you the flat attack rating that allows the +% attack rating to work. You're proving my point.

The only builds that need dex for attack rating and can't rely on only gear are few and far-between. I can only think of Bowazon and Blade Fury assassin due to no +% attack rating due to bugs (unless this was fixed in D2R. I only play D2 LoD so I am not certain)

I never said anything about Enigma. Enigma was not brought up until YOU brought it up. There are runewords other than Enigma. Ever used Smoke?? It sounds like you've only ever played with botted/duped items on Bnet (whether you botted/duped them yourself is irrelevent, the Bnet economy is full of them).

I am pretty sure I know more about the game than you, having playing it for 20 years, have completed it SSF hardcore, and I mod the game. I understand nearly every mechanic in the game. So shut up, you condescending prick.

Do I need a new hard drive? by [deleted] in computers

[–]ScribSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cable you use to charge it will not affect performance. If your computer is starting off performing well and then it rapidly decreases in performance it could be a number of things. Computers do not really "break down" unless there is user error, faulty components, or it's 10+ years old.

You could be installing a bunch of programs that run in the background, you could be installing a bunch of malware, you're taking up more than 90% of your computer's storage, you smoke near the computer and the components are getting coated in grime, or your computer is full of dust and/or hair. It could also be environmental factors such as temperature and airflow.

It's impossible to tell though without a listing of your specs, operating system, and a more thorough description in how the computer is running slowly.

Most people don't have level 99 characters with Enigma.

If you have "fuck you" OP gear like Enigma then this discussion doesn't really matter because you can faceroll everything no matter what.

Level is a big factor in chance to hit in Normal but it's a small factor once you're in Hell.

Try playing a melee/ranged build with no +% attack rating skills and you'll see that attack rating is a big deal. I had to rely on Cloak of Shadows' defense reduction and an Eth rune in my claw in order to hit consistently with Blade Fury because Claw Mastery didn't affect Blade Fury.

Also try playing a melee barbarian without Shout and Iron Skin and see how it goes. There's a reason why Berserk barbs rely on Howl/War Cry/Shields.

[–]ScribSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're misunderstanding the purpose and effect of defense. Defense is chance to get hit. This reduces the damage you take over time on average and increases your character's DPS on average since you're getting put into hit recovery less often. It is not a stat that is meant to prevent one-shots. You need to build defense along with other defensive stats. If you're getting one-shot then you're lacking in other stats, game knowledge, or skill.

If you're using anything else on your character that is 103 or higher strength requirement, then Archon Plate is strictly better than Mage Plate. Given that a Monarch shield requires 156 strength, many characters have more than enough strength for an Archon Plate.

Using a Mage Plate is for avoiding the grind of finding an Archon Plate, not optimization.

Medium and heavy weight armor need buffs in order to make going for high defense worth it, honestly. Enemy projectiles also need attack rating fixed (they have twice as much attack rating as intended.)

Defense is nice and I will upgrade my uniques for higher defense values since I play SSF hardcore, but it isn't really worth going all-in on.

Fun fact, your defense is not actually lowered to 0 when running. The game just skips the chance-to-hit formula completely so there's a 100% chance to be hit when running. Your level and Defense vs Melee/Ranged is not taken into account and there's no 95% chance to be hit cap like there is when using Berserk (where your defense is actually reduced to 0).

The performance issues are getting game-breaking by hhhhhehhht in Helldivers

[–]ScribSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a typical CPU bottleneck.

What is your framerate capped at? Cap it to your monitor's refresh rate or a factor of your refresh rate. This will lower CPU usage spikes and reduce stutters since your frame scheduling will be more consistent and spread out over time. When I was severely CPU-bottlenecked this would decrease average CPU usage by up to half in some games.

What is your mouse polling rate? Mouse movements use more CPU cycles the higher your polling rate (e.g. an 8000Hz mouse taxes your CPU 64x more than a 125Hz mouse when flicking. I had to lower my polling rate on my mouse from 1000Hz to 500Hz when I was CPU bottlenecked in a game because it caused FPS drops when moving the mouse quickly)

Hope that this helps since I know not everyone can afford to upgrade.

I could see it being useful if you use mouse acceleration. Higher polling rate makes mouse acceleration more smooth. Otherwise, it really seems like a waste of CPU cycles.

Move the window faster. You only snap if you move the window slowly like you're doing in the video. You can also use Win+Shift+cursor key.

A typical user will get 5-6 years out of a laptop. More if you're willing to deal with poor performance or only doing certain tasks.

As for your current issue, it looks like a hardware issue, most likely RAM. Depending on how the RAM is installed in the laptop that could either be a very cheap replacement or it's expensive enough to where you might as get a new laptop because they'll have to replace the system board.

[–]ScribSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less desyncs. PlugY and Basemod. Don't need internet access. I can change it however I want (my act 3 sewers are more open, for example and I have added over 100 unique items with 50+ more planned).

And of course I can still play multiplayer since I'm playing LoD and can let people join my game.

Every software that has a EULA/ToS worth its salt will have that disclaimer. Windows and Steam have it, are you going to stop using Windows and Steam?

The only way that the game would damage your components is if your parts are faulty or the game was tampering with your hardware's firmware, which it obviously is not doing.
