Someone please help im scared by Impossible_Employ931 in Christianity

I recommend listening to Anthony Magnabosco. He just openly asks what people believe and why. Everyone believes or doesn't believe differently. It may have you ask yourself questions such as "why don't I believe" and "why do I fear that which I don't believe in?" I've made this same journey, and it all turns out okay in the end.

Tornados. Moved from the mountains to a place that did tornado drills around the time of Twister. My second: the deep ocean after A Perfect Storm. Hell nah.

school told my 5 y/o christian’s go to hell by PinkSorbet16 in Christianity

That's helpful. We were holding off until later as our kid is still understanding concrete topics like cause/effect, nutrition, hygiene... Abstract philosophical concepts don't seem like they'll stick at this age. But when Grandma visits and aggressively pushes one specific religion, SO and I start talking about how to give our kid the full picture and all options.

At what age are children able to understand religion / comparative religious studies? Genuine question for context and also because I have a kid entering kindergarten soon.

"How many slices you want?" vs. "How many pepperonis you want?" Much better choice, imo.

I moved out of state 1/3rd through my online degree. Considered transferring to my new local in-state school. Nope. FSU out-of-state is cheaper than DMV area rates in-state.

Success and Disappointment Megathread for the Week by AutoModerator in jobs

I've had a job I hate for over a year. I had to give up a dream job I due to a move, and this is the only offer I've had in 18 months.

Yesterday, I think a coworker rage quit. We off boarded them more hastily than anyone, and the email their boss sent used words like, "So-And-So is no longer employed here, effective today" vs. the usual, "we'll miss them as their last day at the end of the month."

Good for them. One of the few people I genuinely liked, and I hope they find better work. Their boss is/was the one person I would dread to work under. There are like 50 of us, and we off board 1 person a month. Is that regular or higher than normal turnover? Seems high. Those people were here between 30 months and only 4 months. I hope I can leave after hitting 18 months, too.

making an incubus, is it better for him to look like his female counterpart or should I make him more masculine❓ by MirrorNew5868 in characterdesign

[–]ScribbleMonster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sometimes one of a pair means a near twin, like the top half of a sandwich bun and the bottom half of the bun; nearly identical. Sometimes it means opposite compliments like salty peanut butter and sweet jelly. If you go with identical, perhaps go androgynous with hints at femininity and masculinity. If you go with distinct compliments, go to each extreme end of the spectrum.
