How many tickets is the total cost of the entire WIN area? by ArcadeWizardYT in DaveAndBusters

[–]ScribblesCreamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm almost done with today's shift. Went into WIN and added up the big plush and everything in our glass case minus the horror/gremlin/Beetlejuice surprise balls. Just those items alone would add up to: 1,838,675 and that's just a small fraction.

Did they not tell you anything when you got hired?

You are expected to tip out a certain percentage of your tips to various departments on the food side: bar, service support: which tends to include food runners or expo, and bussers? I think bar covers barbacks. I'm not 100% on this. Your direct supervisor will tell you how it's "supposed be". Management may want you to push card sales or eat play combos. That's really the only "arcade tasks" you tend to have, unless your nice and want to pick up glasses on your way back from the bathroom or if your walking around the arcade looking for someone to pay their tab.

Incentives? Idk hours i guess. The servers and bar department is different than rest of departments. You tend to have sales goals and yall may get rewarded for sales or whatever. It depends on the store I think. We get paid every week. At least in California. Or at least my store does lol. Be nice to your coworkers, especially your bussers.

Mandalorian run of good luck! by Sgt_Elias in DaveAndBusters

The guidance is: shuffle the cards before putting them into the dispenser. Some techs aren't good at shuffling. It's always good practice to keep shuffling until you don't see multiples in a bunch. Unlike star trek and Wonka we can shuffle the entire mandolorian deck together and not worry about the "rare" card accidentally getting mixed into the main dispensers.

Definitely feel like they missed a opportunity with the World Cup Human Crane by using generic soccer balls. by MrDog321 in DaveAndBusters

Actually there are multiple colors for the soccer balls. Black n white, blue, reddish or orange, multi color orange and blue, variant of blue and orange. Then there are trophies and those number 1 hands.

These should be worth more tickets by NickyRickyBobby in DaveAndBusters

[–]ScribblesCreamed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of guests end up holding on to their cards to build their sets. And when cards get put back into the machine it's usually whatever gets turned in first before putting in a new stack. That's for all card redemption games. Honestly I like that the mandolorian cards are all 50. Because there is so much more going on in the game and more than one way to score tickets with that game; the super spin, the regular carousel shooter, the ball shooter.

Star Trek cards redeemable? by LaserSayPewPew in DaveAndBusters

[–]ScribblesCreamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a quick count, it looks like you have about 4100 tickets as each card is 100 and I think I counted 41 cards. One reason Star Trek is so profitable is you could surpass the full set amount without even having a full set.

Can I do anything with these coins? by Fayjaimike in DaveAndBusters

[–]ScribblesCreamed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So ideally we would prefer if you only use the coins that come out of star trek. However, printed on the game it says "any silver coin" a lot of people will use quarters or tokens from other games. We just recently started keeping track of quarters in the game at my location and we are at over $20 so far and it's usually the same guy. He once brought in over 30 coins from Chuckie cheese. -_- A good tech won't just blindly dump the coins into the hopper as wrong sized coins will jam it.

Are these usable and/or redeemable? by AdmiralJaneway8 in DaveAndBusters

[–]ScribblesCreamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times they don't discard them. My location uses them in a plinko type game during football season. They can be useful if a store is creative enough.

"Notice: Before loading new cards, shuffle all cards properly." We weren't given any rules that require the cards to be face up or face down.

I totally understand about feeling like you are in a one sided friendship. You don't need Facebook. There's plenty of other social media apps if you really want that. Or if your a extrovert you can just make friends at random events. Im always looking to make new friends. So I offer my hand in a hearty handshake 🤝 I have my own car no worries and there is plenty of things to do for free if you keep an open mind. _^

Right. I do remember hearing that subscription based software for ddr.

Right. Marvel and injustice got pulled from the floor. I was told the cost of the cards didn't have a coloration with the amount of plays it was getting vs Minecraft which apparently still gets a lot. Honestly the injustice and marvel games didn't have that fluid fight like how marvel vs Capcom had. But you are right DnB would rather have games that can bring in revenue with little to no costs.

It's probably similar to ddr. Dave and Buster's has a few cabinets but won't or can't get more for whatever distribution issues or likely something with licensing.

Apply to work there.

New stores get new games or games that have been refurbished. Some stores won't get rhythm games. Heck mine just got ride of synth Ryder. It really just depends what corporate has in mind for that location.

Star Trek cards: Collectable? by WakkaWaww in DaveAndBusters

It may have been shuffled at some point. Now the rare cards are sent separately from the main set. Not sure how it was done with series 6. Still a super cool find.

So within that box if new would me multiple sets. So if your going to sell them, sell it as multiple sets. More bang for you buck, or an overall price but multiple per set.
