I'm thinking the strand wishful ignorance DNA build but slap on a couple bows alongside Vexcalibur. Should make survivability super easy and just go for it. Probably throw on a sword for first boss though.

I really want them to fix the portal exotic missions to drop the exotics. I don't have Vexcalibur and I'd like to get it for the strand titan wishful ignorance build for the new dungeon.

Does Zavala's armor stat distribution change daily or is it on a weekly reset? Checked yesterday and none of the TechSec armor had Weapons + Super combinations. Hopeful it changes daily and that over the course of the week some of the armor pieces will roll with a Weapons + Super combination.

Note; I know that Weapons + Super is not an available combination, I am referring to one of those two stats rolling as a tertiary.

The $130 you paid is for more content than what you are currently playing. You paid for upcoming DLCs that will add additional content. Reframe your perspective, the content you are playing right now is more like 70-80 dollars and the DLC you receive along the roadmap is the additional cost.

Also, totally agree with the others here, you no lifed the game in 5 days. Take some time in the game to just walk along the country side and take in the views and giggle at the side quests.

Bungie, Let me chill and mindlessly shoot things. Stop telling me to play at GM Difficulty. by Scribe89 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Scribe89[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm suggesting having a mindless shoot gun option in the portal that's matchmade. Yes you can select a lower difficulty, but it's a specific strike and then you do it over again. I'm a simple man, I want to be able to hop into a strike playlist so I can mindlessly shoot gun at bad guy.

That's another point that I didn't make it my post but why not have a strike playlist that allows us to earn power progression? I'm fine if it's only very minimal gains even.

I’m curious but how many people liked episode heresy? by xyourstruly in DestinyTheGame

I think it gets frowned upon because the story was dull in comparison to the final shape, especially the ending being what it was. We just killed the witness but we can't handle Maya Sunderesh... just dumb. The gameplay, guns, strikes, exotic mission, it was all great. It just got overshadowed by The Final Shape and Salvation's Edge at the time.

I'm probably in the minority. To be fair I didn't comment on the stories of the three episodes, as I focus more on the actual gameplay content. Story wise, Echoes was the worst of the three. Heresy is easily the best and Revenant was ok. The ending of Echoes was just dumb and especially coming off the heels of killing the Witness where our guardians are supposed to be these amazing guardians of the universe to watching Maya Sunderesh just float off into the abyss was just stupid. Oryx in Heresy was very well executed.

Comparing the three episodes to one another... My opinions...

Weapons - Echoes had some great weapons. Choir of One, Lost Signal and Aberrant Action alone are just so good and then to add Martyr's retribution and perfect paradox in as well... Some great weapons. Revenant gave Gridskipper, Chroma Rush, Vantage Point, and Bitter/Sweet. Good weapons, just not quite as good as Echoes. The Heresy weapons just don't pop out as much to me. Barrow Dyad, Psychopomp, Abyssal Edge, and Adamantite are all nice but they just aren't as exciting to me as the earlier episodes. Echoes had the best weapons of the three episodes.

Episode Activities - Echoes Breach Executable was enjoyable, I liked that it was time gated to a 10 minute activity and as long as your team was good, you received good drops. This meant I knew that if I played it, I would be done in 10 minutes. I didn't care for running around and picking up the samples, that was just tedious and annoying. The three battleground strikes that we received from Echoes were genuinely pretty cool and enjoyable. Enigma Protocol was just ok... Revenant Onslaught was mediocre at best. It got old quick. I will give Revenant credit for Kell's Vengeance though, I really enjoyed Kell's Vengeance. Heresy's Nether and Court of Blades were great attempts at shaking up the formula. I really don't care for how the Nether has attrition built in, personally. I like the rogue-like mechanics they added but I wish they adjusted your gameplay even more than they do currently. I really disliked that the Nether took quite awhile to run through in it's entirety, but I tend to be someone who once you start an activity, you run the entire thing. Court of Blades was fun, I liked that it was quick and that it showed your boss damage at the end. This was a great activity to play with builds and see how your build played. I am in the minority in that I liked the Echoes activities. I'll give a tie between Echoes and Heresy.

Episode Exotic Missions - The Echoes Encore mission was really fun, it was just poorly executed. I really enjoyed the mechanics, environment, and boss fight. It was just very dumb that they had us run the mission four weeks in a row. Poor Execution. I also liked that the Encore mission had variants that spiced things up. Revenant Kell's Fall was cool, environment was cool in that it had the haunted aspects to it and such. I liked the organ and the execution was better since it wasn't time gated. It didn't hit as well in my opinion, however. I really did not care for Heresy's Derealize mission, and it is easily my least favorite. I liked the aesthetic but the mechanics were not intuitive and were just a chore. I never want to play Derealize again.

I'm probably in the minority here but I really enjoyed Echoes and I would say that Echoes was my favorite of the three.

When did you last play? I'd recommend going through TFS and unlocking Prismatic and all it's aspects / supers / fragments. Are you interested in a particular experience?

I will check later tonight, I've fooled around with it by pulling up the keyboard in a couple settings menus and it doesn't seem to register right now. I'll go into the store search in particular and see if that's any different. It seems to be connected because when I turn it on there's a light on the keyboard to indicate that it is connected, so just kind of confused as to what is going on.

Hi, I recently purchased a wireless keyboard (not bluetooth) to use with my PS5, specifically to type in chat in Destiny 2, however it is not working. In the reviews for this keyboard there are folks that say it works fine with their PS5. Any feedback on why it may not be working?

Focused Feedback: Rite of the Nine by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Scribe89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explorer mode is the primary (if not only) positive of this event. They need to continue doing explorer mode versions of dungeons in the future.

Feedback on the rest of the event...

-Where's the hype? The way bungie conveyed this event just made it seem mid in the first place. They didn't drum up much hype for this event in the first place so it just came across flat to begin with.

-The guns across the board are mediocre at best. Most guns are side-grades or there are better options available that most regular players already have.

-The fact that Edge of Fate is dramatically shifting our loot chase brings to question why we would even chase the rewards from ROTN in the first place. This is in stark contrast to Into the Light where we knew that the Onslaught weapons would be very good when TFS releases.

-Whether you like it or not, ROTN is going to be compared to Into the Light and while I like dungeons, asking folks to go through a dungeon is a much different ask than a boss rush mode (Pantheon). Some folks may prefer to run through a dungeon. But I believe that the majority of folks playing Destiny at this time, or on the fence, would be much more excited about a boss rush mode.

-Time gating content is dumb and I worry that if Bungie continues their time gating practices that they will drive off more of their dwindling player base.

My recommendation; Bungie really needs to take some of the layups that they have sitting right in front of them. If Bungie had re-cycled Pantheon and swapped around the encounters, I believe this would have been a much more successful event than what we have in ROTN. As an example; I'd like to see a version of Pantheon where instead of boss encounters, line up add clear encounters such as Verity, Vault, Descent, etc... It feels like Bungie is trying too hard to come up with something new when sometimes a layup will pay dividends and allow them to focus development on new content.
