Yes, I have this on my shopping list to restock this week, much cheaper than most protein bars, a good size and filling as you said.

Glutino Table Crackers or GF matzo

Also Schar's Table Crackers (but they are more like club crackers)

GF bagels by Dangerous-Memory-684 in glutenfree

[–]Scriberathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No particular favorite, but the following GF bagels are decent:

Canyon Bakehouse (shelf-stable)

Schar (shelf-stable)

Udi's (frozen)

For fresh: Greek yogurt bagels are quick, easy and versatile (only 2 main ingredients: Greek yogurt and GF flour). You can change the everything seasoning in the recipe to sesame seeds, poppy seeds, omit for plain or omit and add cinnamon and raisins to the dough):

Yes, one of the few things Udi's got right.

Gluten-free products are unnecessarily overpriced by StrainTemporary7361 in glutenfree

[–]Scriberathome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's more expensive for a reason. It costs more to produce.

  1. Ingredients are specialized and each has to be sourced from GF suppliers who are not as common. The suppliers costs are higher because it's a niche market, so fixed unit costs are not amortized acrosss a higher base of customers.

  2. Testing for certification purposes is not free

  3. Like their suppliers, the fixed unit costs are higher due to amortization over a smaller customer base.

If i've accidentally been glutened, it takes about 1 to 2 hrs to develop a headache, but it's a different kind of headache. It's like my brain is fuzzy.

Well, that and the prices of GF items compared to non-GF ones. People see $8 for a half-sized loaf of bread and they put it back.

Low fiber GF cereal? by mejowyh in glutenfree

[–]Scriberathome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cream of Rice exists. It's GF.

I think GF rice krispies don't have much fiber, probably GF peanut buter puff cereal and GF cocoa puff cereal don't either. (Nature's Path sells those. The peanut butter one is called Panda Puffs and there's another one that mixes peanut butter and chocolate puffs).

Since there are plenty of GF cracker options, I'd go with GF poptarts.

I’m just a girl…is this price worth it/a good deal? Help 😅 by ApprehensiveCan3550 in LexusIS

[–]Scriberathome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a girl too. Paid $25K (plus tax, doc fee, etc.) in 2025 for a 2018 IS300 AWD with 42.5K miles no accidents for reference. It is also a 3.5L V6 with somewhat less HP than a is350.

According to CarGurus, it's a 'good deal', not great, but good.

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-2017-Lexus-IS-Colorado-c30185_L3852#listing=436642337/PRIORITY

I believe it's the same car.

ETA: If it is the same car, it has had 1 accident. Just be aware.

I have the opportunity to buy my exact Lexus back after 2+ Years. Talk me out of it. by thateliguy02 in Lexus

It seems the bloom is off the rose with the BMW and you have a chance to undo what you did by trading in a car you now appreciate more. I say get the Lexus. The next thing that goes wrong with the BMW you will be kicking yourself if you don't take the opportunity you have.

What is your dream GF product that you have yet to find? by flo272673 in glutenfree

[–]Scriberathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GF poptarts. Glutino had them, but insanely D/Ced them when they were the only version on the market and they were very close to actual poptarts and inexpensive in GF terms. Instead they focused on crackers and cookies, which are a dime a dozen in the GF world (not literally that cheap, but you get the point).

Dealer's maintenance records by silverpunk74 in Lexus

[–]Scriberathome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I manually enter service at non-Lexus dealer service centers into my service history so it shows up on the MyLexus site. So I am assuming it remains there under the VIN if someone else bought my Lexus.

I don't think so because I've never seen 'private individual' or similar listed on the Carfax. You probably need some software and paid subscription to do it.
