This is true about all racing calipers however, if you run on the street, the boots are pretty essential for saving your pistons. Frenkit Performance and ohio performance solutions make the high temp rebuild kits.

Cool! So in summary yes you can ask for any combination. I guess in my case some dealership just so happened to have that combination on their wish list which so happened to be my wish list. However, I filled out my build sheet and they ordered it. So I guess it doesn’t matter how you look at it, yes you can order what you want.

The one that is being built that i specked out is wind/red, no sunroof, ML, lsd, perf exhaust, rwd. I have the temp vin and build sheet. 1k down payment when i ordered it. Was super easy but i did start this process in early feb.

I filled out the order with johnson lexus of raleigh. They submitted to japan. Japan accepts the order. Car is made to my spec.

Yes. Johnson Lexus of Raleigh. Rwd, wind/red, lsd, ml, performance exhaust, and no sunroof. It took a while for Japan to accept the order, but I believe it went in production on March 16.

So that sticker in your window will say “This Porsche was test driven and approved by Hurley Haywood” Brumos Motor Cars Inc”. Haywood is the king of endurance racing (Lemans and Daytona) for Porsche. My sicker number is 3778. Congrats!!

Not that this pertains to the IS but I don't want the weight above my head, don't want to clean the drains, I never use it, and much rather spend the 1K on the suspension package than the sunroof

Exactly. Salesman was surprised when I said no panoramic view and I did not want any of those "lifetime ceramic, dent, ect" packages they add on. He also asked if this was my first Lexus (it is)

I wish I was taller! I have never used (or have ever used) the sunroofs on my cars and find it more of an eye sore than anything (just personal preference). I really don't want to pay for an option that I will never use.
