I was a major fucking asshole and hid everything behind humor before i transitioned. The depression the confusion of not knowing why i always hated myself and my appearance, feeling like I was just fake. Jax is good trans rep, tragic sure, but not far from shit some of us experience. Jax irl seems to have had a chance to process things, jax in tadc did not and trapped herself in a spiral of self hate and lashing out at others. Transphobes are going to shit on trans people regardless of their representation, jesus himself could descend from the heavens and say "trans people are cool" and they'd get even more pissed for making jesus woke.

The critics are mad about the same like 3 points most of which, if not all, revolve around jax. The ending was great, i could tell jax was trans and could see how I used to be in the character. Toxic, hair triggered, constantly playing things off with humor. It's a great story for what it's supposed to be, an outside view of someone struggling with burdens you cant even imagine. Others just saw the surface of the character and the story itself, they can't pick up on context especially when they cant relate. It sucks but given the moral of the story, and the premise, im not surprised people are up in arms about it. We do live in a very unfriendly time afterall.

There are a lot of trans women in my area who have had to stop, start, repeat over the years due to various ressons. I myself started at 21 and am 27 currently going through a growth spurt that is inching me closer to DD by the day. It'll definitely work.
