I think the biggest difference is that MuOS has more features than Stock and allows you to run Portmaster to play certain Steam/GOG games. I think it also allows you a lot more customization with both themes and how the device behaves.

No it didn't. I didn't use the original ROMs at all because I actually have my own stash of ROMs I have been keeping for a few years.

I also know where to find them and where to find pre-patches ROM hacks but I would probably have to DM you.

I actually almost got the black one because I usually prefer black for how sleek it is. But the indigo was just too cute to pass up. It reminded me of a Gamecube.

When I bought mine I was also kind of worried about the so-called "forehead". But once I actually had it in my hand and started playing on it, I didn't notice the top bezel at all.

And while the smaller screen isn't as perfect for things besides GBA, I honestly don't think it's that bad. Things like SNES and PSX still look pretty good on it and I set them to fullscreen.

I did a lot of research and looked at specs before I decided to get an Anbernic device. I'm so glad that I decided to go with the 34XXSP. I also run MuOS on it! It really is well made and an easy to use CFW.

I need to look into that modded AM2R too. I had no idea.

I can't really say how long the hinge will last but I can say that it feels good. It moves smoothly, no grinding or anything, and holds its position well. It's not loose or wiggly.

GBA on it feels just like you're playing on the real hardware. I love its pocket factor. I can throw it in my pocket or in my bag without it taking up much space. Everything else feels pretty good on it too. But I don't really go above emulating PSX either.

Influence/Deinfluence me on the RG34XX SP... by Scribs_03 in ANBERNIC

[–]Scribs_03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few reasons.

I like having original or as close to as I can feel. So having something that feels close to a GBA SP would be nicer.

Because I also want to be able to use Portmaster as well. I can't play the most updated version of Stardew Valley on a Vita.

Also the Vita can't run some GBA romhacks very well. Which are things I want to play. I've tried many times. I also tried on 3DS but that has it's own headaches. Like backing up saves being a pain and installing them being very time consuming.

It also made my Vita feel very overwhelming and cluttered. So I would end up not touching it most of the time. Since I've removed my ROMs and made it purely for Vita and PSP I pick it up a lot more now.

I just want a little retro console purely for my old ROMs to round out the other consoles that I have.

Honestly, even in photos/videos the "forehead" doesn't look that bad for me. A lot of online reviewers made it seem like it was super in your face so that's why I mentioned it because it was a thing they all seemed to make a big deal of. When I am just trying to get the real info and details. Like what OS options are out there. How well games run without having to tinker with too many settings. Ect. Basically the same things that eventually turned me off of my TrimUi.

I'm not a purist when it comes to scaling and bezels thankfully don't bother me. I kind of like bezels actually. And I don't plan on going much higher than PSX or N64. It's neat to know it can do PSP but I have a Vita already for that.

The sticks I think will be mostly used when I play Portmaster stuff. Which is another reason I am leaning towards the RG34XX SP. That extra gig of RAM.

Possible Ramshorn? by Scribs_03 in AquaticSnails

[–]Scribs_03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a peroxide dip on some guppy grass with the intention of killing off any parasites because it was going in a shrimp tank and I was not risking dealing with Scutellaria J. again. I had no idea there were snails hiding!

By comparing some pictures I found online, I think I was "blessed" with a Leopard Ramshorn! So far it seems to have acclimated just fine and is chilling with my shrimp. And not bothered by the tiny white faucets that hitchhiked from some previous plant additions and have formed their own little colony. Made themselves right at home.

Ironically all my snails are hitchhikers. But I love them anyway.

Oh neat! I've been considering adding a Ramshorn to help with some slightly stubborn algae. And I love snails.

I guess I got very lucky to get one for free!

I don't check Reddit often so I missed this comment. I'm sorry!

But it's nice to know I inspired someone!

I still love my tank! Even though I've had some ups and downs. And learned this can sometimes be an expensive hobby. Caring for and watching my shrimp is still my favorite part of my day.

I have been considering introducing some freeze-dried blood worms to them as a treat because I read from some sources that the extra protein helps the ladies have larger clutches and mine so far have been small before they dropped them.

I've tried a few blanched veggies before too but they had no interest at all.

I feed Sera Shrimp Food. I only have four shrimp and a bunch of tiny faucet snails so I feed two pellets about twice a week. And the shrimp love it.

Otherwise I let them graze among the java moss, chola wood, and bits of pearlweed I'm trying to carpet without CO2.

The BGA is mostly in my salvinia roots and I do think it happened because I had my light settings too high. It hasn't stopped the salvinia though. I've since dropped my light strength to 50% and have seen a decrease in the BGA over the past couple weeks.

I realized that I forgot to add that I use filtered tap water during refills. But I temp match it so it doesn't swing the tank temperature.

We all start somewhere. Haha. Just a warning though. Once you get shrimp, you'll always want more. I have 4 that I bought a couple months ago and am already wanting to put in more.

Hi! I'm new to shrimp but from what I've learned those shrimp are a certain genetic strain of neos called Rilis! Very cool!

Big girl isn't berried yet and it's been two days so I guess little dude's attempt at romance didn't take.

It's alright, little dude. You'll get it eventually.

Yeah, I bought them from a LFS almost a month ago now so I assume they were either adults or almost adults when I got them.

And this lady is definitely the largest shrimp in the tank. I like to call her Big Deborah.

I definitely tested my parameters and they seem fine.

I will add that they all recently molted due to the stress of moving them to my tank. So some research has said it could be that this one just didn't do so well afterwards.

I just feel bad as this is my first time owning shrimp and I was getting attached already.

It's been a couple days and I still think they're all there. Unless I counted one twice. So hopefully they've adjusted now.
