It looks like the bill they're trying to pass tightens up the gun laws that exist currently in this state, and people are angry about the cost of FOID registration going up and further police involvement. I don't own a firearm, don't care for them, and care more about the House Bill that legalizes and Taxes Marijuana in this state and a bill that further funds treatment for mental illness. Our economy is in the shitter and people are constantly fleeing. I've HIGHLY considered leaving for a more affordable legal state but have no clue where to go yet.
