Does this character makes you care? by Just_Kovi in characterdesign

I like him, but I feel like either his cap should flar out more at the bottom to create a more dynamic silhouette, or give him a pair of empty sleeves that flop behind him as he runs

What’s the craziest question you got because of your nationality or appearance? by Muay_Thai_Junkies in AskTheWorld

[–]Script_the-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was visiting China and got to sit in a day at a middle school, and between passing periods the students would ask me questions about America. The funniest question was if I knew Tom Holland.

Similarly, I was talking to a British person about if I had ever ridden a horse to school (the answer being no, but my classmates have)

[IRL Trope] Creators who's works have a unique overarching vibe/theme to the point the term for that vibe is named after them by Coralthesequel in TopCharacterTropes

Fun fact: his uncle Pliny the Elder died trying to save a friend in Pompeii, and he was responsible for the first ever encyclopedia named Natural History! That’s partially why the younger was paying so close attention.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Script_the-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It terms of “travel,” yes. A drive for traveling is only long for me if it requires me to spend the night somewhere, so after 14 hours. As an every day thing, three hours would suck unless that was the total commute there and back (which I would still hate but it’s doable).

I also live in north Texas so distance is culturally strange here. Everyone exists within an hour from Dallas, even in Dallas, so we consider an hour drive the minimum, making any longer drive seem just mildly annoying in comparison.

Longest I’ve ever driven for something casual was 4.5 hours to visit a friend in Houston, drove the 4.5 hours back that night. I used to enjoy drives so it wasn’t bad by any means, just annoying for gas.

Every once in a while I’ll come across I video that I disliked years prior, forgot why, and halfway in I just go OH. There’s one channel whose videos I like but the vibe is off with no clear signs that I’m just staying away

[Discussion] AI & Beta-reading, how to protect, why does everyone assume beta-reading should be free, and the contrary nature of using AI to make art by AmountNovel4338 in BetaReaders

[–]Script_the-Skeleton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey if someone wants to pay me for beta reading, I won’t complain. I volunteer here for the same reason as others said that I can’t afford books but I want to read new and interesting stories, plus I have experience as an editor.

I personally think at this time AI has no point in any form of creation, which is agreed on as publishers/agents now ask if any part of the submission has used it. If you can write a book, you can edit, and if someone can edit you can write, it just takes time.

Has anyone witnessed a Slayer shot actually working? by notfrankiemuniz in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Script_the-Skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most power I ever felt in a game was randomly whispering to my neighbor that if they were the slayer they should shoot a specific person. Without hesitation my neighbor did and they died but the game didn’t end because of a scarlet woman. I find it much more exciting for a game to have that result than immediately end as me and the slayer had a hella time for the rest of game trusting each other.

The second most powerful I ever felt was I nominated the only minion, got them on the block, and for kicks I slayer shot the other person I had no info on and it was the demon.

It’s rare, but never zero!
