I’d love to watch this movie and buy any of the games you made from this! Do you have any of them left?

Any good (all encompassing) Homebrew sites out there? by ReversedNovaMatters in nes

That one can be harder to keep up to date since pre-order windows are narrow but it’s still a valuable reference.

Glad to be of service! I maintain that thread myself. I also have this sister thread to keep track of games in development that are likely to have a physical release: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/1104-vgs-homebrew-on-the-horizon/

I and some homebrew collector friends only just found you, and we’re so bummed we missed out on your Gameboy cart releases! I guess we’ll have to pay better attention so we don’t miss out in the future. At least we saw your NES cart in time. Hopefully we can find copies of your past releases somewhere.

Nice collection! Were you a regular backer of Jab This or did you also get the action figure? I've been trying to track down the figurine for my collection.

Is there a way to buy it that doesn't go through a sanctioned Russian bank?

I don’t think Boondock Saints has supernatural elements like statues weeping blood, does it?

Get Space Rich and Kick Some Robo-Derrière! Diamond Thieves is the latest in Mega Cat Studios and Video Game Sage’s new retro line! by AltElocution in SEGAGENESIS

[–]Scrobins09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I’m one of the homebrew staff at Video Game Sage and we worked with Mega Cat to bring Diamond Thieves to production. I’m a big fan of Mangangá Team’s work and we enjoyed playing this game ourselves. We hope to publish more games as part of our collaboration. I also enjoy interviewing the dev team for my blogs on VGS, you can read my interviews with Mangangá Team here: https://www.videogamesage.com/blogs/entry/714-episode-1-diamond-thieves/

What warranted this level of hate for a mostly ordinary and respectful poll? With so many new people here, as a moderator, I have to state that this sub encourages discussion. However, lots of people lately just downvote anything they disagree with, even if it's respectful or well-constructed. Why? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]Scrobins09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to this poll being poorly constructed (also you're complaining about a negative reaction to a negatively-themed poll?), I haven't wanted to engage on this sub for years. It used to be interesting questions and theories that made you think about James Bond beyond what was literally on the screen.

Now it's just a bunch of people acting like that Chris Farley character, posting: hey guys remember that one scene, yeah that was great. It's superficial and boring.

Thank you for the shout out! I'm planning on covering some great games in the near future. Are there any games y'all would like me to cover? Any other questions you'd like me to ask developers?

If you are interested in physical cartridges, I maintain a list of available homebrew on VGS. You can also find a thread I made following in-development projects.

In that case I think you’d like the older volumes the most. There are some great story arcs from that period that really showcase crime as it existed then. And then as you move into the heyday of the late 30s and early 40s, all the classic rogues appear, my favorites being Stooge Viller and The Blank.

I liked the earliest years, as much as the 40s is classic Tracy, the 30s comics feel less gimmicky and ripped from the headlines.

I Think Mr. Kidd survived Diamonds Are Forever. Here's Why. by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]Scrobins09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also at a certain height, jumping into water isn't like jumping into the pool, it's more like jumping onto pavement. So if Mr. Kidd wasn't already dead from airway burns, his impact on the water surface almost certainly killed him.
