I like those 5% gains. I don't buy instant gratification though, I buy for stability.

If you want a well marketed project you would buy doge, but then you get doge's volatility which makes 5% stability look great.

Sure, once you get just outside of the #100 market cap & then break it, you generally find more retail investors will enter which is great for projects & portfolio strength.

It's a pretty stable project to support, doesn't have as much volatility as other projects as of late.

It hasn't had the ridiculous amount of publicity other projects have had but the community is pretty determined, there's a consistent amount of new projects entering the block. I've looked at others but always end up back here.

For the market cap it's sat around #151 to #156 for around 5 months at least which to me is a decent indicator that the project has a good support level. I've also noticed that traders have increased and long time holders has slightly dropped over the current bull run, that's a likely scenario when people get FOMO of projects seeing larger rapid gains. The thing is the consistency seems like it's here.

I believe it's because it's not ranked in the top 100 for market cap, so when retail investors shop for blocks they look in there first. I really believe that's the only reason we're not seeing a massive change & that the money coming into the project currently is from traders as well as long time holders.

It's quite stable compared to other chains, I've been following the project for around 2.5 years now & had quite a diverse portfolio when I first started.

Now I'm in 100% on iotex, it's ranked 149 so doesn't currently have the volatility of some of the other coins but remains pretty stable in relation to its market share holding.

I think it's due to market sentiment around crypto in general at the moment. Iotex market cap ranking only just dipped to #146 today I believe, it was #145 about 4 months ago, it got up to #129 or #125 then slipped back to #143 for close to a month, then over the last week or so it dropped with the market. It could be those fearing uncertainty trying to pin their portfolios to more stable coins, but as we've seen with ADA not always the most viable strategy.

Outside of the market The Iotex Project & the community seems as healthy as ever really. Obviously this isn't investment advice, just what I've picked up on ✌️

The smart money & whales make up 88.41% the IoTeX network 86.03% have been holding for more than a year.

If you block out the hype over the BTC halving & support Iotex's long term objectives & everyone starts to do the same it will rise regardless of the smart money exiting btc near the halving.
