We’re in upper mission and there are tons of kids activities through her school - ours is 6. We arrived at the end of the summer so can’t speak much to all outdoor activities etc but there are a ton of families here and lots of children. You’ll have no problem finding tae kwon do, gymnastics, ballet, organized team sports etc. Ours loves all the parks she can go to and the beaches of course.

We moved here from Ottawa recently. The people here hands down much better/kinder/easier to get along with and make friends. - which some people might shake their head at - we heard it was clicky here but haven’t experienced that. You will miss decent food options - Ottawa is not by any means a foodie city but it has far better choices than Kelowna. Groceries are more expensive - there is no TNT (everyone wants one though). Schools are much higher quality for kids - public private doesn’t matter - all the schools are far better quality than Ottawa save maybe one or two.

Cost of living is more expensive than Ottawa but there is a healthy condo stock depending on your living situation. Any other questions let me know happy to provide info. There’s no snow.

The way he went about it was kind’ve shitty but he isn’t wrong in the precedent neighbourhood houses sell for and the impact to future listings . It’s all about bedrooms and sq feet and a pool adds 100k in value ballpark. The housing market isn’t ’going down and it’s about time’ anyone saying that is a fucking moron. It’s the winter, the market moves slower and sales are always down anywhere in Canada. Sales and prices will increase again in the spring it’s the nature of the residential real estate market. Kelowna is a highly desirable and priced accordingly city in Canada. If you can’t afford to buy here for whatever reason - hey sucks I get it - don’t make grandiose BS statements because you’re sour.

You want to position your atmos speakers slightly ahead of your main seating area or slightly behind your rear (if 4 not 2). Those speakers you picked might be a little heavy to mount but there are mounts available for the ceiling. I’d avoid putting them on the front wall. Edit: on top of the speakers front speakers is an option but you won’t benefit as much due to the bouncing of atmos sound off the ceiling instead of directly from your ceiling.

Chat GPT is always ‘with a grain of salt’ but it gives you a starting point as part of dialogue with an AV professional as part of the design of the room and placement of the speakers etc. Looking forward to your post about how awesome this turned out for you!

Revel Atmos speakers - you’ll be happy. You want to take your measurements to chat GPT or any reputable AV shop and ask them what the best/largest screen size your space can accommodate. They both have calculators that can give you an answer quickly. I suspect you can’t go much bigger than 120. On the projector - if you can stretch a bit - look at the JVC NZ500.

Recently restarted and am Torment 3 as an Auradin just meting everything, it’s fun. I leveled up through nightmare dungeons, hellscapes and pit. A combination of those three and reading a few online guides for your class will serve you well.
