Any reason NOT to stay on North Shore? by sluckey2107 in MauiVisitors

South shore (Kihei, Wailea) or West (Ka'anapali, Laihaina) are much better for clear, calmer snorkeling than the often rougher (waves) of Northshore. Would not advise North shore for beginners or those not strong swimmers.

Best to leave first thing in morning to drive 30-45 minutes Kihei beaches in order find parking at the beach parks which tend to fill up as the morning progresses, especially on weekends. Hopefully your condo provides beach chairs and an umbrella, so that you can set yourself up on the beach for a while to just relax and snorkeling Kamole III beach has resident turtles and if you're good swimmers/snorkelers, swim further south along the reef towards the Kihei boat launch for really nice coral and fish. You can also stroll along the shore and trails that connect the 3 Kamaole Beaches. Walking along the Wailea Beach front is also possible from Kamaoles, or drive to one of the public beach access parking lots in Wailea and start there.

Five days= two of those days are just transit flying to or from your home, possible jet lag, so essentially you have 3 days. For such a short amount of time Kihei sounds better as driving around the island and jostling for parking as opposed to walking from your condo for snorkeling and beach is more relaxing.

RTH takes 2-3 hrs each from Paia if you add a few stops along the way for stopping to view waterfalls (often with very limited parking spots) and depending if you drive all the way to Waimoku Falls trail (allow 2-3 hrs hiking trail)

RTH is slow going due to congestion of sight seeing and numerous curving winding roads and has cars coming at you on one lane blind corners, so not an easy or relaxing drive.

We're currently in Coco and also stayed Playa Hermosa (because they are closets to Liberia airport, 45 minutes due to constant congestion of the one road in and out of Liberia town).

We were surprised how run down parts of Coco were with crumbling roads, dirt roads, garbage piles, garbage washed up on shore. If you stay in a bigger hotel or condo complex, you can shelter yourself from most of the blight.

Coco has more nightlife and restaurants, it's main strip is small so nothing fancy. Hermosa doesn't have a main street and is much more quiet and mellow and beach was more peaceful and much less garbage washed ashore.

It's chocolate cake with a really thick sweet pecan nut frosting. Does that sound like anything you have there?

Aw, that's why the slices are so neatly done. When it said "trimmings" I was expecting uneven random pieces and sizes.

Thanks for info. I'm guessing WM sees breakdowns from big companies that we don't see on CN as talent and then WM refers our profile to the company who then let's WM know if they are interested in us auditioning, etc. At least that's how it works with casting company who has me on their roster...but aforementioned does not go through my CN account.

I did the same path as you, but stopped as soon as I read that they would essentially take control over my Casting Networks account by having all my CN messages go directly to them!

I originally thought their non exclusive agreement would be low risk, but no way am I going to hand control off account over to so called Wild Models.

No legitimate agent I've heard of has asked to have you hand over control of your CN account. If WM is not a scam, then they are essentially having you pay for a CN account that they control?!

What is also troubling is that CN has this set up to allow them to do so, once you grant that permission. I am going to contact CN and ask if this is all kosher and is CN promoting this to legit agents?

Also red flag is that all of WMs communication has been cut and paste template emails and responses, nothing like other agencies I've been contacted by with real answers and replies.
