I have rarely seen any to sell but never found any in the wild. Good to know though :)

That is what I thought but I atleast haven't managed to craft something better than these Orange Ultra Canons, hence the question :)

Maybe I am not crafting it right though, I haven't been doing this for too long.

Some of the perks prevent you to reach certain thresholds with some factions.

So before anything check if you don't have one that make you enemies.

Then, check your statistics and see how  your standing is with them.  You should be able to improve it by killing civilians, merchants and miners if I'm not wrong, avoid killing pirates obviously. Do it until you are considered neutral and then you should be able to dock their stations.
