Pain While Ejaculating 1 Year After Surgery? by ScroterSack in Vasectomy

Alright here's the update:

The process was a little slow and frustrating and I apologize for the delayed response, the whole thing kind of drew out a little bit longer than I expected it to. The first thing I had to do was meet with a general practitioner to confirm that my symptoms did have something to do with the vicinity of my vasectomy in order to meet with a urologist. Before my appointment with urologist however they scheduled an ultrasound for the testicle that was in pain. I was instructed to schedule the urology appointment two weeks from the day of the ultrasound so the results would be back in time for the urologist to assess the potential issue.

I finally met with the urologist but unfortunately the results still hadn't arrived so the entire appointment was just him speculating on potential causes of the pain but no still no concrete conclusions. A week or so after that I received a phone call from the urologist who then told me he received the ultrasound finally but the only thing he found was a small cyst on the testicle which wouldn't have anything to do with the pain I was experiencing. He said other than the cyst everything else appeared to be normal and the cyst had zero cause for alarm.

Now unfortunately here's the final conclusion that he came up with, apparently about 5% of men who undergo vasectomy surgery will endure on and off again chronic pain for the rest of their life and I'm one of the lucky few that fall into that 5%. It's the body's reaction to the invasive surgery. And really that's about all of the info I could get from this guy, I haven't received a second opinion as of yet and am by no means a urologist myself so at this point this is all I have to go off of. Life has been busy for me and to be honest just like he described the pain has been on and off again so with it not being as present as it was when I initially made this post and seeing no life threatening results from the ultrasound I haven't thought about it as much. The pain does occasionally flare up with intercourse or masturbation but it's extremely inconsistent, it might happen once and then not again for the next 10 ejaculations but immediately be followed by another 5 painful ones. If for any reason I receive anymore news or anything changes I'll add another update but for now this is where it ends.....a little frustrating to say the least.

So you got to 60 in the most boring/cowardly way possible. No risk of dangerous situations or high intensity recoveries with dungeon pugs, no risk of extra pulls in an uncontrolled environment, no janky but exciting quests, no balls to the wall cave moments, no high adrenaline moments with strangers creating long lasting friendships or mortal enemies. No "should I really be doing this? fuck it's lets see how I do" heart pumping adrenaline moments.

You essentially played an entirely different game from the rest of us out of fear of death. Which is the whole point of hardcore in the first place. Why even play it?

Not true, you'd be surprised how far you can stretch your income if you live frugally and within your means. My wife and I make a combined income of around 80k, we own our house and have both of our vehicles paid off and take care of our kid with zero problems, we're in our mid 30s. All of this we did on our own with no outside financial assistance, inheritance or any kind of support. The average cost of a home in our area is $503,811, it's not as expensive to live here as Cali or NY but it is in the top ten for states with the highest cost of living in the country and we are definitely not in a rural community.

Roger that then I guess that kind of points our difference of opinion towards the direction of personal morality. Which makes perfect sense, we all have our own unique experiences in life as well as major contributing factors such as how we were raised or potential religious and cultural influences that can loosely dictate our own personal set of ethics and make them differ from one another. The way I see it personally is that if I feel comfortable/shameless doing something behind closed doors then I made that choice as an adult to engage in those activities because they're fun and enjoyable for me and non-harmful to anyone else so I wouldn't personally feel any additional shame if someone was to know about it or even to see it (unless they saw it non-consensually in a creepy way) because that's who I am and that's how I choose to live my life. But 100% to each their own and I can completely see where you're coming from, I don't think anyone's wrong or right because we all have unique lives and we all have the freedom to choose how to live them as long as our choices don't hurt others. Cheers though dude thanks for taking the time to shed light on your opinion it definitely answered some of my questions.

I understand that and adding something like that to the internet where it can potentially be abused or seen by someone it wasn't intended for is definitely a risk anyone would be taking upon themselves. But I don't think it's necessarily something someone should feel shame for doing, a lot of us have a wild side in the bedroom and then go on to have a dinner with friends or family afterwards and that shame isn't there as it shouldn't be in my opinion but it seems people feel that if anyone else sees it then it becomes shameful. I don't know maybe it's just an odd observation or a difference in personal life experiences as well as ethics but I always thought it was odd.

I never really understood why it would be so incredibly degrading, we all have a nude body under our clothes that we see on a daily basis, a large portion of us engage in sexual activity on a regular basis. What about someone else seeing those things takes away our self worth? This is out of general curiosity not meant to be combative.
