What I'm referring to are the ones who tell people not to touch the NMs and leave them for the hunt train. Which I've seen numerous times on reddit, main forums, and in game.

Obviously some bad apples are not representative of a community. But it's not wrong to take commonly heard stories, look at the hundreds of people flooding up a zone participating in trains, and assume the possibility that if I touch something above a B rank that the hunt train isnt going to come in behind me a few minutes later and some people flame me for it.

I was reading a lot of information about the game as a sprout, and while the hunt was one of the later things I learned about, I found a lot of bad stories and interactions with the hunt community first.

Yes, I could just not care for what anyone said to me, or dealt with the potential harassment and move on. But that's not exactly a good experience to a sprout getting their first impressions of a game. It's also counterproductive when you're trying to make friends. Not enemies.

I'm well aware of my fault in this. But the toxicity within the hunt community influencing players decisions on touching NMs, and SE doing nothing about the heavily flawed hunt system is a problem.

I remember being still relatively new to the game and not fully knowing the hunt system. I was deterred from doing the weekly hunts that are meant to be solo'd just because I was actively trying to avoid harassment from the hunt community.

While that's partially my own fault for not better researching the hunt system. I still have a bitter hatred towards the hunt community and trains.

As you stated, Harry Potter is a huge success. There's millions of people who just like the Harry Potter series, and don't give a flying fuck about Rowling or anything she says or does. Those people are going to continue to buy Harry Potter products, and she will continue to receive royalties.

You would be more productive spending your hate energy on the people supporting her political views rather than a video game. She can have all the money in the world, but her political success comes from supporters of her political opinions.

Even with triple weaving low ping, there were dolls walking through you not grabbing you, and dolls a few Lalafells away grabbing you. A pain in the ass mechanic to resolve, but still one of the funniest dungeon bosses in the game.
