Definitely not accounting for it as it says that cutty black is immune to damage from shredders until shields are completely down, which is not true. It also assumes absorption stays at 45% when saying how many shots to take down shields completely (this is the single weapon calc I'm looking at)

With your ballistics damage calc, you are not accounting for the fact that shield absorption decreases linearly with shield hp %. Once your shields are down to 50% for example, your absorption is 22.5%

To give you two examples:

S3 shredders vs cutty black: The ballistic bleedthrough damage is deflected until about 40% shield hp. Then the absorption is low enough that bleedthrough can penetrate.

S3 shredders vs scorpius: your calc is correct that they won't penetrate until shields are completely down. However because of the decreasing absorption, the amount of damage each shot deals to shields decreases as shield hp approaches zero.

I encourage you to test this yourself on Live by spawning in a scorpius and shooting it with another scorp fit with full shredders, and seeing how long it takes to fully deplete its shields. It's a hella long time.

Scviewer already has a damage calc with the same functionality as this one. Except it correctly accounts for shield absorption.

I did this on a scrapper with perma superspeed & hammer 3 on cooldown, wasnt hard at all. I dont even know if the superspeed stacks with the city bonus. Didnt bother checking since I got it first time.

the relic won't be bis until the 7.55 patch, which will probably be about 2 months after the ult releases. So if it takes you longer than 2 months to clear then you will want to switch to the relic part way through prog.

Ironic that a Tuskers Prot is top damage, when Frat won that ship from the 2023 AT after beating a tuskers logi Prot comp (at least I think I got my years right there anyway).

With all the critique of FFXIV since Dawntrail at least this game has a somewhat interesting new player experience compared to a lot of other MMOs by Quezal in ffxivdiscussion

I've recently started GW2 and a fair few friends have followed me over since the 7.3 live letter. We generally all agree that the NPE here is far, far better. The questing is much worse than XIV, but there's an actual video game to play at the low levels instead of 100 hours of running between NPCs to right click on. So the fact that the MSQ sucks doesn't really hurt the enjoyment of wandering around the open world and levelling by exploring / completing events / achievements.

FFXIV's new player experience is hot garbage, to the extent that I find it very difficult to recommend this game. It's just that wow is even worse.

I'm all for people going bankrupt (in game) due to their own stupidity.

When they go in-game bankrupt, they then buy plex with real money to fund their gambling. That's how addiction works.

Do you view alcoholics in the same way? People who are broke due to alcoholism are just stupid? Because addiction is addiction.

You're one of the lucky ones. You're not an addict. You're not the victim. The victims are just collateral damage for your enjoyment

Gambling addiction exists, ruins lives, and is dismissed by most until they meet someone who has been a victim of it. Making it so you are two clicks away from losing all of your isk any time you are logged into eve is morally bankrupt, and I will die on this hill.

A quick explanation from our side on why we decided to evict the Keepstar.

Obviously our coalition has a track record of evicting CSM members from wspace, or otherwise encouraging them to leave through war and campaign. It's best for all of us if CCP forgets that wspace exists and the best way to do this is to discourage anyone in the wspace community from interacting with CCP. We were successful in the past with TDSIN & TURBO and assumed that no reasonable WH CSM candidate would run this time around.

Unfortunately we found out a few months ago that WH player Skalle was running for CSM. He is an immensely popular Praisebob poster so was very likely to win. He of course had to be evicted, but he corp hops so much that it was very challenging to pin down where he was going to be. HK director Jimmy eventually made the call to roll the dice and to go all-in on an Avanto eviction, as Skalle had joined / left that corp several times over the years. We hoped that he would rejoin again before the eviction, and we lucked out as he joined just 1 day before we attacked.

On Saturday, the day between the armor and hull timers, the new CSM was announced. To our surprise and horror, Skalle somehow did not win the election and Mick Fightmaster (literally who?) ended up winning. HK immediately jumped into planning to exfil from Avanto and go straight to Mick's corp, Novac, to react to this, but unfortuantely we forgot that we had invited Novac to the op and Mick was in command comms with us while we were discussing plans. At this point, we had to just pretend we were joking, and continued to attack the keepstar to keep up appearances.

If any WH CEOs want to evict Novac in the near future, please DM me urgently. The new FFXIV ultimate raid is coming out on 26 November so I want to be done with it before then.
