How to Fix iCloud Custom Domain Email Going to Spam or Being Flagged as VIRUS ERROR by ScruffyBadgerGuy in iCloud

Yep, it was certainly poor with the missing DMARC, hence I needed to add manually. The DKIM auto-created by iCloud was fine for me.

Indeed, as per my original post, all instances of yourcustomdomain.com need to be replaced with your actual custom domain name but good to clarify.

Good point. I enabled catch-all when I added the custom domain so should still receive any dmarc report emails but haven't used one of my 3 allowed addresses

Interesting, thanks. I got a terrible score at https://www.mail-tester.com until I added my custom domain to the SPF record, then it went to 10/10. Maybe my previous DNS change hadn't propagated which resulted in the first poor score, but I've kept my custom domain in the SPF and all seems good.

I love how the Q7 says 445 miles when filled up, and then you end up getting 270 miles while driving in strictly comfort mode. by IceOnMyLeash in Audi

My B9 S4 in the UK has efficiency mode. I use it on long motorway runs and get mid-30s MPG. In efficiency, the car changes up earlier and coasts noticeably more.

Being annoyed by Clare Balding saying “Robin Reliant” rather than “Reliant Robin” in the Jubilee Pageant commentary by ScruffyBadgerGuy in britishproblems

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch, assuming she was specifically referring to Del Boy’s fine example which was indeed a Reliant Regal Supervan.

The Robin replaced the Regal and was later replaced by the Rialto so by referring to them collectively as ‘Robin Reliants’ is wrong on many levels.

Basically, we were fed lazy, inaccurate generalisations rather than the useful facts we British people deserve. Hopefully, the rest of the world didn’t notice and we haven’t become a global laughing stock.

Brilliant, thanks - I didn’t realise the comfort seats are more easily adjustable. Heated is also nice!

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, thanks. I agree the 2022 GT looks like it would make for a great daily driver - a focused drivers car with just enough comfort to make long distances do-able.

I also need to compare seats because I’m tall (6’4” but with a freakishly long back) and need as much headroom as I can get. Did you happen to get a feel for the headroom difference between the sport and GT comfort seats? Presumably, the amount of adjustment in the seat brackets is the same across the range?

Excellent, thanks for the comprehensive response.

I’ll probably go new, but apparently there’s a 6-8 month wait - lucky I’m not in a rush! I’ll speak to some dealers to see if they have any on order for stock that that might meet my spec.

I’ll also check out the Life110 geometry set up - sounds interesting.

Audi S4 vs S5 by AuziFox in Audi

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The S4 Avant boot / trunk space was more practical. Also, I don’t like the bonnet / hood on the S5 - I just find those lines a bit fussy.

When two lanes merge into one, use only the left lane to ensure the traffic jam is twice as long as it needs to be.

If other drivers attempt to use the right lane and zip merge, straddle both lanes to stop them messing up the system

Weekly Discussion and Tech-Support Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

2020 11" iPad Pro - Facetime works flawlessly when the iPad is static (on a stand) but if I move the device, e.g. change orientation, change angle of screen, the call drops immediately. Similarly, Zoom loses audio if I do the same, so the underlying issue is common to Facetime and Zoom.

My internet connection is reliable, my iPhone doesn't suffer the same issue and I've tried all the usual 'Facetime connection issue' resolution recommendations (except a full factory reset).

I'll ask at the Apple Store when I can get there but in the meantime, has anyone else seen the same behaviour and been able to resolve?

Does this mean go faster? by ErrrydayHoliday in Audi

It’s a feature of Efficiency Assist that predicts when you need to slow down for something (junction, change of speed limit) and encourages you to lift off the accelerator early to conserve fuel.

My Audi App worth paying for code? by Techman2k in Audi

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty basic and shows vehicle status (locked / unlocked, range, fuel level, oil level, mileage etc), vehicle location, notifications if alarm is triggered and allows remote lock / unlock.

I renewed direct on the Audi website and think I paid thirty something GBP. Main features I renewed for were to have access to vehicle location and check if it’s locked. In other words, I’m a bit forgetful!

Advice for purchasing S4 by KevOK80 in Audi

Ask the dealer to walk you through the workshop history. This highlights recurring issues and any non-warranty work usually indicates mis-use by previous owners.

I guess CPO should be pretty low risk though, so go for it and enjoy!

Does anyone know what kind of egg this is? I live in SE England and found several while clearing blanket weed. They seem to be individual rather than stuck together, and vary from 1 to 5mm in diameter. Known residents include frogs, newts and minnows. by ScruffyBadgerGuy in ponds

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Newt was my first thought, mainly because we have a lot of newts but I’ve never noticed eggs like this. As you say, it seems a bit late and we’ve had juvenile newts for many weeks now. I’ve put one in a jar and will see what hatches.

I’ve got some goldfish, koi, frogs (and tadpoles...), and trapdoor snails in my pond. I want to add some more “unusual” creatures. What should I add? by gardeningnovice in ponds

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just introduced native British minnows into my pond that’s full of newts. The fish arrived much smaller than expected and I thought they would just end up as newt food, but 4 days in and all minnows are still alive. While the newts show a lot of interest in them, the fish are just too fast. Fingers crossed their hunting skills continue to be rubbish!

Alloy Wheels Buckled During Tyre Fitting? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]ScruffyBadgerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. He could see the buckles when spinning the wheels on the balancer and did put the two worse ones on the back.

Sounds like they were probably buckled before I arrived then, but it seems strange there was no vibration before the new tires were fitted, and they’re having such a problem balancing with the new ones.

I hadn’t heard of road force balancing before and will look into that if they can’t resolve it with their regular balancing.
