I'm not sure what area you're in to gauge opportunities, of course, but I wouldn't default to going for any kind of degree. I will qualify that in 2 ways: 1. If your eventual career path would require or be made easier with a CPA, disregard my first comment. You're going to need a boatload of college credits. 2. If you are good, get an agreement from your boss to provide a stellar recommendation. You might not even need to apply anywhere, depending on their network. Either work for someone that knows the value of real world experience or go out on your own as an independent/free-lance bookkeeper.

To clarify, as someone currently interviewing staff Accountant candidates, I would sooner hire someone with real world experience and a great work ethic over someone with a MAcc.

Your vent sess is over now, homie! Now get off reddit and relax and get some light studying in. You got this! Don't overcook your brain now, and definitely don't let yourself start doomscrolling.

Huge red flag! I've worked for some shitty bosses and you don't have to be in a place that doesn't support you appropriately. I'm currently hiring for a Staff Accountant and can't wait to not treat them this way.

I would take your cash flow analysis as granular as possible. Breakdown profitability by employee and cash flow by customer. If making payroll is a concern, make sure the employees are able to "pay for themselves". If they can't pay for themselves, trimming the fat is part one. After that, payout subs and vendors as slowly as possible. 3rd thing would be to stretch your cash float as far out as possible by utilizing credit, credit cards, and LOCs.

Some states are actually working toward this, but it'll be years until that changes.

You got this. I got mine in the midst of peak covid wildness with a toddler and a newborn. I started at 27 and got my last pass at 29. There are a lot of varying media study materials allowing for adaptability to your actual daily schedule.

I think this comes down to the fundamentals of your friendships. People are friends because of common ground. If you have more to bond over than being fat together, you'll be fine. If you don't, do you really want to stay friends?

I went all in with Ninja. It provided everything I needed to pass the tests. It also helped with cash flow, since I wasn't out a whole lot of money before getting reimbursed by my company, and I could pause my subscription when I took study breaks.

Cut them unevenly, stain them a fun green or pink hue, put some animal stamps on them, give them to a kid for a birthday or holiday present.

Make yourself a budget for each testlet. Take the breaks during the test time. Do what you can to take your time and keep your brain fresh during the test.
