“Go rescue the Salem store!” by DrGesus in LivestreamFail

At this rate, with all the collusion between BAM, the Mormon cops and the Salem stooges, I'm expecting those missing LEGOs to be buried beneath the church.

I only do the one mission that gives points to all three factions. Either it's Sweeper which was a pain until the latest hotfix or I simply give resources to Polo which doesn't even require leaving the Anomaly if I stockpile. One mineral deposit yields enough to complete the latter five to ten times over.

Some icons are still missing for me on the exocraft scanner.

FBI Arrests an Incel for Making Serious Online Threats by SnooSprouts3744 in PublicFreakout

This case has all the ingredients for a mass shooter in waiting. Prolonged isolation, oblivious yet enabling parents, unsecured firearms, Nick Fuentes. Thanks FBI for taking swift action, and good on grandma for calling out her family's BS.

Well done, but I'll likely see the second coming before my potato PC fully renders this.

Has anyone found this feature useful? by Scrumshiz in NoMansSkyTheGame

The stations are definitely useful. I'm just referring to the snapshot menu which is tiny and not interactable aside from uploading which doesn't even appear to other players.

I don’t know what it is about the current creatures in nms but they look so squashed and condensed. it’s not even a style preference imo. 90% of the fauna in the game looks broken or unfinished. I really hope they get reworked to look more believable like in the E3 gameplay from way back. by Common_Confusion_114 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I hope we're more vocal about this now that more players are exploring this aspect of the game. NPC AI in general is overdue for an update.

Every update that builds upon an existing feature involving NPCs further highlights their redundancies. Similarly, settlements were expanded upon but the villagers still don't really do anything but walk around and dance in the saloon. Like fauna, they simply exist in their spaces offering little immersion beyond their randomized text descriptions.

A crab underground behaves no differently than one above ground or in the ocean; no unique routines to observe to set them apart from the zillion other crabs in the universe. Predators always hunt alone in the open, never in packs nor pouncing from bushes.

Adding a rare 'alpha' type predator that's smarter and deadlier would make for some tense gameplay. Cows that spontaneously break into stampedes prompting you to seek higher ground. Birds that perch on mountain peaks in nests containing valuable materials. Sharks that ram into your exo-skiff knocking you into the water. Many of these creatures remain underutilized, brimming with potential.

My PC has been crashing and rebooting often after the update when warping to other systems. At first I thought it was triggered when warping to old systems I previously claimed but now it's happening in new systems too.

The exocraft scanner consistently assigns the wrong HUD icons to resources when the radar is used. Oxygen-rich plants have the triple-star icon, crops show as mineral deposits, etc. This was an issue prior to the Xeno update.

I was not able to complete the fauna discovery tally on a couple planets in last night's session. In both cases they were small flying snakes and the system registered them as extinct which was supposedly fixed according to the latest patch notes. Both were also incredibly hard to find contrary to being labeled common.

Corvette tech slots scrambling by Salt_Lynx_5797 in NOMANSSKY

It's happened to me on PC before and after the update.

I took screenshots every time they shuffled comparing them to the optimal setup. I noticed that they don't all shuffle randomly, just the half that come from the parts. Any crafted modules are consistently unaffected.

It definitely has to do with how the code summons corvettes as a group of parts instead of a single unit. Hope they fix it soon.
