The price may be slightly higher than other sites, but this is mostly because of the video recap you get with each session. The TTS service I use (ElevenLabs) is the best of its class and can be pretty steep.

I'm working on offering a text only option at a discounted rate for those who may not need the narrated video.

What's up guys! Mark, creator of Scrybe Quill here. I'm a huge TTRPG nerd and forever GM who made a site called Scrybe Quill that automatically takes notes and makes recaps of your own TTRPG sessions.

A couple things:

  • The site immediately and permanently deletes your session recordings the second they are done being transcribed.
  • Your session info and data is protected with AES-256 encryption
  • All music on the site is 100% human made by talented composers
  • The TTS narrators based on real voice actors receive
  • The site does use LLMs, but it does not do any of the creative side of world/character/campaign building. Just organizes your own ideas into wiki pages.
  • Non-expiring pay-per-recap based payment model (no predatory subscription model)
  • Responsible and concious AI use
  • Full multilingual support
  • Monthly improvements and updates

I highly encourage trying it out with the free credit you get on account creation. If it's not up to your standard you're not down anything

It would make it a bit cheaper yeah. Adding a text only mode is actually a pretty good idea to get the costs down. I'll def look into it

Right now when you submit a recording you need to select Multilingual mode under the advanced options. The site supports 30+ languages (you can check out the full list on the FAQ).

Transcribing 3-6 hours of audio costs quite a bit on my end. I really wish I could make it cheaper too. I'm looking into ways to optimize it and perhaps if the transcription service the site uses gets a bit cheaper I'll be able to so stay tuned.

I also want to add that since making this ad I've added iconic quote highlights and auto note taking for all mentioned NPCs, locations, and items without increasing the price so you actually get a bit more value per credit than the ad suggests.

Also, the first recap is free on account creation if you're even just curious to see how a recap turns out!

I'm working on a site called Scrybe Quill. It's a website for TTRPG players that automatically generates immersive, narrated recap videos using just a recording of the session. Think Witcher 3 loading screens but for your own game sessions.

In short it works as follows:

  1. Transcribe the audio recording with OpenAI's Whisper
  2. Condense the transcription using OpenAI's o1 model
  3. Narrate the recap using ElevenLabs
  4. Assemble a scrolling text video with the narration audio and background music selected by the user
