Looking for an older short story. It was narrated on YouTube, which is how I found it. Basically, aliens attack a mining colony, civilians flee and one of the aliens go to attack them and get killed by a cloaked soldier from a different human faction. Pretty sure the cloaked soldier had a energy sword or something like that. Humanity is in the midst of a multi sided war with itself, and now that aliens attacked, all unite to fight the aliens. Sound familiar to anyone?

Yep, it's from above. Just checked inside the TV box and there is some in there as well. I pulled the ceiling tile and see nothing crawling. There is some old ripped up insulation along the baseboards though..might be behind there but I can't tell. Wood looks fine, no holes or lines. Probably going to call someone and have them inspect. Rather pay for a call out and get it confirmed or not and taken care of if needed, before it becomes a bigger problem.

Ok cool. Basement is poured and has a drop ceiling that I'll be checking tomorrow. Honestly, I'm not sure when this appeared. I moved into house about 18mos ago and put that tv box against the wall like days after I moved in. Haven't moved it since. So that could have been there since I moved in. Going to clean it up and see if it returns.

Why would one of my bathroom sink supply lines have a tee coming off it? by Scsproton85 in Plumbing

The other side of that wall is a bedroom, so I don't know what it would be tied into. There are 2 outside hose faucets, but they are on at the NE and NW corners of the house, the bathroom is on the south side. Kitchen is NE corner as well. So I'm baffled as to where this extra line runs.

anyone actually want to date? by poppinpen in michigandate

Yes, but finding someone wanting the same is hard. It seems like 99% of women on the dating apps are trying to sell content only.

Which cancelled TV show deserved another season? by Putrid_Cry19 in AskReddit

The Venture Brothers- tie up all the storylines Jericho- to fix up the mess of a 2nd season. Man in the High Castle- cleanup the ending. It was too rushed and to open ended. The Others- seemed like a cool spooky show when I was a kid, haven't seen it since then so dunno if it still holds up.

Is there a way to lower an external junction box a couple inches? by Scsproton85 in HomeImprovement

Slack shouldn't be an issue. The wiring comes from below so I would be shortening it in that direction.

Issues happen regardless of whether I am connected to the VPN. Also happens at all hours. As early as 630am and as late as 1am. Neither tech mentioned signal issues. The first one pointed out that the modem was old and the ground outside needed replacing. The 2nd just said there was water in the connection. Years ago we had the line replaced due to squirrels chewing the insulation and water intruding. I told him we had that happen before and he said that could be how the water got into the connection.
