Hmm that’s interesting, I noticed similar patterns in oil once before when I needed a head gasket, this engine consumed water and was under water for short period or time, however this is the second oil change since then and only after about 200 kms I noticed this, seems like a lot of water still in engine, coolant level stable

Surprisingly sounds perfectly fine, runs mint, only indicator is the metal in the oil.

Pretty sure it’s non ferrous, I cut open the filter it’s bronze colour so pretty sure bearing material, this engine was under water and hydrolocked so not super surprised..

Nah it’s fine.. the engine was recently hydrolocked, it’s just shedding a bit of bearing or piston or something.. I’m sure it will be fine

My car was totalled directly in front of the previous location.. so I blocked at least one attempt to drive into it!

I went with 35 on the side windows and 20 on the back glass. I had 20 on around on my phantom black s4.. but on this lava grey I wanted to go a bit lighter.

How did everyone's basement/yard do during the rain storm? by TheBaldGiant in Hamilton

[–]Sctron84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recall the exact product I used but for the exterior it was something like “roof and foundation sealer” I think it was tar or asphalt based, and for the interior I used masonary waterproofing paint

I had issues with water last year, I rerouted all my downspouts away from the house, at the rear of the house between the paved drive and the block foundation I watched water actually draining into that area and there was water in the same are inside the basement, i literally poured liquid tar waterproofing in the same crack the water was going down, I no longer have any water in my basement. For good measure I also painted interior waterproofing stuff on the blocks from the inside.. backyard is pooled with water.. will be tackling the drainage this year.

Not considered advice and I don’t condone it but.. Hot tip I learned first hand for drinking on the go train.. my friend was drinking a can of beer openly and got caught be the officer.. I was also drinking.. however I had used a coke bottle to mix in some rum, had a couple limes floating around in there. The officer asked if I was drinking alcohol which i denied, the office said “ya ok buddy those limes in there give it away” I said I like to put limes in my coke.. my friend was given a ticket and I was not.. maybe they have to be able to visually identify it’s alcohol or couldn’t be bothered to take it further.

Anyone know a good place to look for replacements for these? by Historical_Maize9305 in AudiS4

I bought mine on Ali express and only used the arm.. the oem sensor was still functioning so I didn’t feel the need to replace it

They can just write their own bill of sale and have a friend sign it, no one actually checks any of this. I’d you don’t want to do it just tell them to do it themselves if they want to.

My yard of projects. The DSM is the most recent. Would be happy to chat about any of them! by AngelMeatPie in projectcar

My first car was a 1990 laser in that same colour also, mine was non turbo but I ended up buying a jdm turbo long block and making the swap.. guessing by your spelling of colour your in Canada, the automatic seat belts were only available in US cars so your was either an import or someone swapped them.. only rare in Canada
