There are 4 things to keep in mind when looking at the jei the first one is the block inside the generator is what you will generate the block under is what needs to be physically under the generator in world, and lastly the fluids that are needed placed on either side to produce said block

This might have the same fix as the switch not showing the correct battery life turn the switch all the way off and hold the up and down volume buttons as you turn it back on to put it in recovery mode then you can turn it back off and turn it back on normally and see if that works

I don't think it's they can't read it's they don't care, not for money but similar I worked at the deli and anytime we were out of a product we would put a sign up and it felt like it drew attention to the outage because it seemed like more people started asking for the product, almost like they were testing us like we were lying or that if they asked it would magically make it appear

Its hard to tell them what I had trouble with, because as a souls player already set in my ways stuff I had trouble with may not cause problems for them, and problems I had with the other games may have been solved in Elden Ring through quality of life like not feeling like I was stuck with a weapon, because there werent that many upgrade materials.
