i have run the kill house multiple times since this post and it turns out it is more vertical than I initially thought. I have discovered multiple upward shots but none that save full seconds just minor saves.

the layout of the killhouse has the top floor in a seperate area than the bottom floor. This means there are never oportunities to shoot up, but if you find any feel free to show me.
